WLS Express - Thirsty Thursday 4/29

Good morning all.  Thought I would do something different and get this thing rolling.

Been a rough couple of days, losing an employee (Bob) to cancer.  He was just diagnosed with the cancer about 4 months ago.  So sad.  I will be going to the mass on Friday.

Now to lighter things.

It's Thirsty Thursday.  What do you prefer to drink during the day?  Do you drink water?  Crystal Light?  Other?

I drink about a gallon of Crystal Light every day.  I mix cherry and fruit punch, I really don't like the taste of either one of them by themselves.

It is a Survivor night tonight.  I enjoy the show, though I do not much like the format this season.  I would rather have new people every year.  Just don't like the idea of the same people playing for a third time.  If they want to bring back people, they should bring back the people that were eliminated first.  We never really got to see those people.

Good morning!!

I am alive and well.  Been chasing shadows for a couple of weeks and I think they caught me!!

Things are good in the Rust House.  Tom no longer has a feeding tube and the whole is now closed.  This was the last of the medical tethers that he had and it has been a very long 3 years, but he is now physically whole.  Pretty cool.

The GB surgery went very well for me and I am now moving on to my eyes.  Got some cataracts that are making my vision pretty bad so out they come.  Left eye is scheduled for May 18.  Right not scheduled yet, guess it will take most of the summer to get them out.  Sheesh.

What do I drink?  Lots of coffee and water.  I like to put splendas water flavors in.  My fav is lemon because it is not very strong.  I do not like lemonade and the splenda things are very lightly flavored.  I also have raspberry.  I like crystal light peach tea a lot!!

Make it a great day

I am so happy for Tom.  It brings a smile to my face seeing him now, after remembering what he was like when I first joined TMB.

Glad you GB surgery went well.  Mine was pretty easy last year.  Good luck with the cataract surgery.

Good Morning George??  I had to look and make sure I was on the right thread... LOL!

WOOOOOHOOO for Thursday because that means Friday is almost here!  Thirsty, not me!  LOL  During the work week I average 100-125 or more ozs of plain water... and about 60-70 ozs of coffee...... and every once in a while I have one of those little 10 oz bottles of diet pepsi.... on the weekend my numbers are all over the place.... LOL
George you have my condolences on the loss of your friend.
Prayers are going up for those that need them!

The Eagles were on the radio, so here's Take It To The Limit to get us rocking on down the rails......

All alone at the end of the of the evening
And the bright lights have faded to blue
I was thinking 'bout a woman who might have
Loved me and I never knew
You know I've always been a dreamer
(spent my life running 'round)
And it's so hard to change
(Can't seem to settle down)
But the dreams I've seen lately
Keep on turning out and burning out
And turning out the same

So put me on a highway
And show me a sign
And take it to the limit one more time

You can spend all your time making money
You can spend all your love making time
If it all fell to pieces tomorrow
Would you still be mine?

And when you're looking for your freedom
(Nobody seems to care)
And you can't find the door
(Can't find it anywhere)
When there's nothing to believe in
Still you're coming back, you're running back
You're coming back for more

So put me on a highway
And show me a sign
And take it to the limit one more time

Take it to the limit
Take it to the limit
Take it to the limit one more time

Ya'll have a great day my friends!

Thank you for your daily supply of music.  Even if I do not post on the Express, I always check to see your choice of music for the day.

I just can't take the non-taste of water.  I am so glad we are allowed Crystal Light.  Don't know what I would do if we weren't.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Good Morning!  Still running around like a chicken with my head cut off, life is busy between work and the boys with baseball.  Next two weeks will be super challenging as they have games/practice on the same day.  Not sure how I'll make that happen yet, but I will somehow.

I'm gonna ask for prayers for a friend that has been through way to much lately.  Keep her in your prayers that she finds peace and can handle what's been thrown at her again and again.

Hugs,

I know what you mean with baseball.  And I only have the one grandson playing.  Tournament time, they are playing tournaments almost every weekend.  Then the practices and the scrimmages.  Geez.

Good Morning All! It's almost Friday and Bill and I are finally finished with school work for a little while! Friday is a much needed getaway weekend to Austin!

Not much else going on around here!

During the day I drink a couple of cups of hot tea in the morning, then iced tea if I have it here at work. If no tea, I do the SF Hawaiian Punch Lemon Berry Squeeze packets in water. I can't stand plain water. Will only drink it if it's a have to thing and I'm out of drink packets. I also like the Peach tea too.

Well, I'm off to get a little done around here today, even though I have the want to of a gnat! Gonna be positive about it at least!

hugz and prayers to all in need!
