I got MUGGED today!

  I got MUGGED on the way into my apartment with the babies this afternoon - I had my purse hanging on the stroller, asshole knocked me down and flipped the baby out of the stroller and ran off with it. He got my purse off finally and dropped the stroller. Baby has scrapes and bruises, and my grandson was freaked, but was so grown up - he gave the policeman a description of what the guy was wearing!   oh - the guy got maybe $3 in cash and used my debit card for about $75 before I could get it cancelled, which the bank has already refunded and set up a new account.

Now I have to deal with DPS and SS.

I'm so sorry to hear that.  I'm glad you and the babies were not hurt.  I hope they catch that dirty S.O.B  

I would love to find the ones who do these things and make them suffer the way they make their victims do.  Piece of garbage, scumbags and I am REALLY keeping it nice!  I am sooo glad that none of you were seriously injured.  Your guardian angel was working overtime today, Ms Lynne!!!!  Thank God!!!

On a side note to this, you didn't mention if he got the keys to your apartment, but I hope that the apartments come in and change the locks BEFORE you leave to go anywhere tomorrow, if so!!! 

I had my keys in my hand and no extras in the purse so I'm not worried about that. I am pissed about the cell phone though!

I'm up at 2:30 a.m. in pain - I think I may have broken or cracked a rib in my fall. It didn't hurt at first but it's slowly getting worse. I just took a tylenol with codeine that I had here and will call my doctor in the morning. Unfortunately, my boss is out today so I really need to at least go in and open up.

Well CRAP, Lynne! I'd be pissed about the cell phone too, but the fact that he hurt you (much less Ivy and Woogie) would **** me off even more! If you are hurting that badly, maybe you should call your Doc.  I just hate it that this creepazoid did this to you guys. Take care of yourself and I hope the "good" Tylenol will give you some relief!

I'm so sorry.  When I shop I wear my fanny pack instead of carrying a purse.  A friend in law enforcement told me that little trick.  I only imagine how frightening that was for you and for those babies.  I'm glad your grandson could give a description.. thank goodness for children and their quick minds!!

So glad you and the kids are okay.  I hope they catch him.
