How do I get rid of it?

They've been playing with the knobs again...there's a new 'thing' at the bottom of every page here on OH. It tells me how many of my friends are online and other stuff. On the far right side click on it and it pops up with live updates and all the accounts for FB, Twitter, etc.

That's fine and dandy for those who like it but I couldn't care less so how can I get rid of it? I'd rather have that 1/2" of screen space to actually read something! Is there a setting somewhere or am I stuck with it?

Dee I'm not sure if you can, I haven't played with it yet.  It is an Instant Messaging box that allows you to chat with your friends.  It could be good I guess, but it has made me consider who is on my friends list.  I have LOTS of people from way back when and I'm not wanting to chat with everyone nor do I have time to chat with everyone.  I keep OH up on my screen at work so I can glance in during the day.  I know just the little I've played with it I can sign off and/or make it as busy so for the time being that's what I'll do.

I only have a tiny scroll bar at the bottom that says "5 friends online".  It doesn't take up any space at all.  I still have a full screen view.

Not sure how to get rid of it, but at least the page load times are faster and it doesn't eat half my posts before I finish typing.

However, just like the "share button" I don't want all my stuff to integrate.

I think that's what I really don't like about it...just more ways for integration.  Every time I go to FB I cringe at how easy it is to find out so much about anyone. Yeah..I know nothing on the 'net is private.
