Slept Better before surgery

I am almost 18 months since my surgery and I can not get a good night sleep.  I slept better when I was morbidly obese with a sleep apnea machine.  My neck hurts because the pillow rolls up under my neck.  My legs hurt if I try to lay them on top of each other, (too boney).  My whole body is stiff and sore in the mornings when I get up.  I can not sleep more than 5 to 6 hours.  My eyes feel like they are bugging out in the mornings.  Not a good way to start the day.

Anyone else having this problem?  I have tried several different types of pillows.  Any suggestions?

I am down 125 pounds since I started my journey and have been at this weight for 8 months.  Other than the sleep issues I feel good.

Join OUR club, sorry I can't help I don't sleep well either.  I woke up 4 times last night between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.  It sucks some days!  If I take a sleep aid I sleep good I won't do that nightly.

I had thought about using sleep aids but I don't like taking medicine.  Maybe someone can help both of us.   Have a great day.

 Morning,

I had some problems too.  I bought a memory foam mattress topper and that helped tremediously.   I have still not found a pillow that I can't live without.   Put a pillow between your knees at night.   I find that helps somewhat.    Hope my suggestions help out.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

I sleep with a pillow between my knees. Works wonders.

I sleep with a body pillow and kind of wrap myself around it. It works great. I've always had insomnia and it has gotten worse since surgery, so I take 1 Tylenol PM when I realize I've gotten to the point where I need more sleep than I've been able to get without meds.
