Good afternoon all.  Pretty day outside.  Grandkids are here watching Joey work on our garden. (Joey is Phyllis's brother and has been a Godsend for us).

Back to work tonight.  Gonna have to listen to the Rangers game on radio.

Not much else going on here.

Let me know if you have any prayer requests to be added to the list.

Just a reminder, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS  AND SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Prayer requests are listed below:

Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness.  Please thank God for these men and women every day.  In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

PEOPLE SEEKING EMPLOYMENT: Pray not just for employment, but also that they adjust to the stress the lack of employment brings.

MariPW
Nina - daughter looking for a third job to make ends meet

Vivian asks for Jonathan - Looking for full time work
Sarah448 asks for her son

Upcoming Surgeries/current hospitalization:

Recovering from Surgery:

Other prayer requests:

George - My employee and friend Bob has been in the hospital now for over two months.  He has MS and cancer.  The doctors are deciding today if they should continue with chemotherapy because it appears to be doing more harm than good.

Jennifer - prayer for the sale of their house in San Antonio.  They are in the process of changing real estate agents, hopefully this will help the house move.

Karen the Papaya Queen asks we pray for her son and his kids.  Parental rights to the children were lost.  He may get custody of the girl, which would open the door to  him getting the boys.  The decision is under appeal.

Kat (Iwannabethinnow) requests prayer for her friend with breast cancer.

Kris M. asks for prayer for Charlene and her family during this difficult time.

MariPW also asks for prayer for her pending move back to Texas in May.

Michelle S. - Michelle's mother has been diagnosed with cancer, is getting radiation and will soon be making a decision about chemotherapy.  Also continue praying for her family's various other health issues.

Nina - Pray for cousin, that he be guided in the right direction with his marraige.

Working nights DOES have its good parts... It would be nice to enjoy the weather during the day, but I like sleeping at night too.

You know... I was just sitting here in amazement thinking about all of the prayer requests gone off of the list.  I am assuming that is because they have been answered.  God is good.

Does Bob have family here?

Prayers being said for all that need them.

Normally, once a month, I send out PMs asking for updates on the prayer requests.  All prayer requests are answered.  Just that sometimes God has different answers than we want.

If I do not get a reply with an update, I remove the prayer request, but not normally until it has been on the list at least 2 weeks.  If I don't get an update, I assume all is good, or at least, finalized.  If you notice different colors on the prayer list, they are coded by update received or not for me, and after a little while remove those that have not been responded to.

For the most part, when I ask for updates, the people respond rather quickly.

You got me thinking.  Maybe the next time I ask for updates, I will start a section of answered prayers, and maybe let that list be on the board for 2 or 3 days so everyone can see.

Bob has some real family issues.  His daughter has some questionable friends.  She had a child by one of them, but he is currently in Federal prison.  He probably gets out within the next year or so.  Bob's ex-wife lives in the area, and she has been by his side for this.  Quite extraordinary, since they did not see eye to eye on most things.  He also has a sister who is in the area.  He does have a saint of a co-worker, who travels out to the VA Hospital probably 5-6 times a week to visit with  him.

I really like the idea of the answered prayers list.  You are right.  God does answer all prayers... I think that he answers them promptly... it is just that sometimes the answer is no or not yet.

I am glad that Bob's ex-wife is there for him.  It sounds like the more support, the better.  His daughter's situation can not be helping things... I will continue to keep them in my prayers.

Hi George;

I'm working on getting some projects done tonight that I've been neglecting. I just signed the paperwork to put the San Antonio house under contract with the new realtor we chose when we were there interviewing a few weeks ago.

I reordered my prescription drugs that I'm starting to run out of. So darn expensive. I'm thankful to have a job that allows me to afford them.

And on the job front, I spoke to the recruiter I interviewed with on 4/15 and things are still very positive. I'm hoping to hear from the hiring manager this week, but may not as she's traveling for a conference. I applied for a couple other positions tonight as well. Today wasn't too bad at the office, but I also realize that I'm really having to hold my tongue by the time Thursday and Friday rolls around each week.

Prayers for all who need them.
Blessings, Jennifer

Evenin' George...
Had a "Project Grad" meeting at school tonight.  Already time to start raising money for Heather's graduation night.  Amazing.  Lots of people doing a lot of talking.  Paul was there too and was SO irked...there was a lady near him who would NOT stop talking.  It was a shame that the lady leading the meeting didn't have a microphone because she sure needed one.  Sadly...the lady is an ex-teacher - sorry, she should know better!  It is AMAZING how fast these people get their panties in a wad over STUPID CRAP.  Geez, if you don't like selling this or that at an event, then good grief, just don't sign up for that one particular thing!    Always someone though.....

OH...hey...did I tell you - the efforts for staying up most the night on Saturday in preparation for the bake sell was worth it.  The girls made almost $500!!!  YIPPEE!!!  It will go towards helping to pay for a service project meeting they will be going to up in Austin in June.  They made more than they anticipated so it will help to defray a lot more than they first figured!

Ok, time to go make a couple lunches....
