The are several companies are making the sandwich thins made from whole grain Sara Lee, Natures Own, and Orowheat. When I first tried them it was my first attempt to eat a bread product after the surgery which was 4 months after the surgery. I could not tolerate it at all even toasted.  It has only been recently I have been able to eat bread. My nutritionist has no problem with eating bread but fo me to limit it and only eat whole wheat breads. I see no problem with it as long as it meets your nutritional needs and you plan it in your meal plan accordingly. I still minimize breads as much as possible.

Phyllis I've been eating these for months and they're wonderful.  They also make a Bagel thin that's great too.  Yes, it's 100 calories for the whole bun.  Honey Wheat is my favorite flavor.  It comes in several different ones.

I bought the Sara Lee ones a while back, I don't eat bread often but this was OK.  Ate 3 out of the back, the rest went in the trash with mold on it.

If I'm going to have bread it will be one of these sandwich thins, doesn't matter which brand. I can only eat them if they are toasted to a crispy death! I've also used them in place of a tortilla for tortilla pizzas....just toast them then bake in the oven until crunchy.

This morning I had half of one of the bagel thins... not bad.  The sandwich thins are also great for a mini pizza!

I use them all the time, and Jeff even prefers them now (well maybe not over Rye bread).  You can get them at Sam's for much cheaper than at the grocery store too.

Thanks everyone for your input...I really appreciate it !!

I thought that it was a good product to consider -  I don't eat much bread either...and I do prefer toasted....but haven't had any trouble....

Most of these will probably go bad before I get them all eaten................

Bryan loves those for bread. You could freeze 1/2- esp since you toast them, you won't notice any difference if you thaw them and then toast, I'd think.

I use them but I toast them first.
