A Thank You
There are many people on the board with information on finding a gem of a product such as the Carbquik. It is because of my search for Carbquik I came upon someone who has other great products so in a post above I posted that company's link. I think it is great that we share our finds when we come across them. My next goal baking goal is to add protein to the scones and some other baked goods that way I can save money on my protein bars which are not too expensive but again I am not big on chocolate or peanut butter. My current project is to make a good protein smoothie. I made one last night from one recipe when I get off work here in a few minutes going to try it.
If you need anymore recipes let me know my wife sort of collects recipes and then I go through the ones I am willing to try and convert them to low carb if I can. There is one cookbook out there where they have cracked the recipes of popular restaurant items that I would like to buy and convert some of them to low carb if possible especially some of the coffee drinks.
8 oz of expresso(I make it with a home machine and community coffee)
4 oz of low fat vanilla yogurt
2 scoops of chocolate protein powder(I used Bariatric Advantage meal replacement)
blended for about a minute and placed it in 1 pint storage containers for the next couple of days.
Another variation I made with straberries
8 oz of skim milk
6 oz of low fat vanilla yogurt
6 unsweetened frozen strawberries
2 scoops of strawberry protein powder(I used Bariatric Advantage meal replacement)
Blended it real good place in storage containers.
