Good morning. Did anyone else wake up in the middle of the night with the storms? Ours passed quickly around 2am. Its still rainy but today is going to be a nice sunny day today. So hop on board with your rain gear but wear something underneath for the rest of the day!

I actually slept right through them, I have been keeping myself busy, plus I was happy I could sleep on both left and right sides last night.  But alas I am up at 6am.  I am going to my first WW meeting since surgery, and my leader knows about the surgery, she suggested I stick with them as well for the support, and she has many WLS patients as members.  After the meeting the boyfriend and I are gonna take a ride in his new car he bought last night.
I have started a blog all of my own for this journey.  Please follow me at www.digitalsheep.org.

I wonder if we're going to have a soccer game today. Hmm... it probably won't be called though in time for me to come to RNS since Bryan leaves so much earlier for the run. That would be a bummer. I would think they wouldn't have it because they don't like to tear up their fields when its muddy especially because this time we're playing at the fields behind Blue Sky. They are the fancy folks that we'd never be able to afford Chris to play for.
My tooth is still bugging me but I did sleep better. Then again I stayed upright in the recliner all night rather than lay down.
I got some Reebok Easy Tones yesterday. My foot doctor wanted me to get either those or Sketchers Shape Ups. He thinks it will help straighthen my foot and leg. I didn't like the Sketchers- they have a rocker bottom and they made me feel quite off balance. I did like the Reeboks though.

I hope everyone has a great day today!!

You will have to keep us informed on those shoes...I've always been intrigued by them but never decided to make the purchase.  I have plantar fasciitis pretty bad (in fact my doctor yesterday said I have to start wearing my night splint again YUCK!)...wonder if those shoes would help?

I have plantars too and have been wearing orthodics since 1999. My foot doctor said not to wear orthodics with these because they provide the right support. I got to the point of the night splint but couldn't sleep with it so I opted for cortisone shots and then finally surgery years ago. Now I just have to wear orthodics. And I don't buy cheap shoes- even dress shoes are from SAS or Naturalizer which means I only own 4 pair of shoes total. I guess 5 now that I got the ones yesterday. Good thing I'm not a shoe person or a fashionista. Lol.

He he!  I'm so glad I'm not into shoes either...it would be a lost cause.  I was hoping that it would be relieved by loss of weight from surgery.  Have you found that not to be true?

No, not really any better. My foot doctor told me thin people have it too so it's not a matter of weight. The biggest thing that happened was my foot got smaller but my orthodics didn't and I couldn't afford to get new ones for a while.

Good morning, and all is well in Georgia for the time being....those storms are to hit between now and Sunday morning....right now they are in Alabama, so Mari might be having a time with them now...

Just talked to Don (thank goodness for cell phones)...the storm**** Henderson County last night about 2am and literally 'shook' his Mom's house like crazy. According to a former relative of his (ex-wife's nephew) that works at the Water Board, the wind was clocked at 90mph !!!! Damn, that is like a Cat 1 on the hurricane force wind scale....
DAMN!!! Right now, they have no electricity, and his Mom is so prepared for any thing....she is heating up her coffee usingsterno power!!! Don is so lost without the electricity cause he cant get on the internet....oh for the modern conveniences!!! But as I told Don, at least they are all safe and sound...and just need to assess the damages to the houses...his Mom's, his brother's, and his soon-to-be residence. I think some screens will need to be replaced, but not sure what else.

Hope everyone else is safe and sound...

Right now, the rainhas started here...thank goodness my newroofwas completed on Thursday....had to get a new one due tothe hail storm thatwe had last spring.

Forgot something there GF - when it gets dry enough I'll have to get out the pasture buggy, a trailer and a chainsaw then go out and have a "chunk" party!  That is where you go out and pick up "chunks" of wood, in this case limbs as well, "chunk" them on the trailer, haul them to a burning pile and "chunk" them on the pile!  Have some fences I'll be fixing in the process.  I'm using Wi-fi at ex's since she and Mom are in Tyler.  Fixing to go back to her house and see if power is back up.   1-4-3

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
