The NIGH****CHMAN - 4/22 - Thursday
I have some personal stuff to cover right now. The NIGHT WATCHMAN was started over two years ago, and my intention then was to help David on the Express keep prayer requests up to date. I also wanted it to be a place people can stop by at night, just to say hi.
What I would like to encourage everyone to do is to let me have your prayer requests. I will post them here. The only thing I ask in return is to be kept updated so the prayer list is always current. So, if you have prayer requests, please let me know. And please do not be offended if once a month I ask you for an update.
Just a reminder, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS AND SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.
If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested). Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Prayer requests are listed below:
Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness. Please thank God for these men and women every day. In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.
PEOPLE SEEKING EMPLOYMENT: Pray not just for employment, but also that they adjust to the stress the lack of employment brings.
MariPW
Nina - daughter looking for a third job to make ends meet
Vivian asks for Jonathan - Looking for full time work

Other prayer requests:
George - My employee and friend Bob has been in the hospital now for over two months. He has MS and cancer. The doctors are deciding today if they should continue with chemotherapy because it appears to be doing more harm than good.
Jennifer - prayer for the sale of their house in San Antonio. They have made the move to the metroplex but still need to sell their house.
Karen the Papaya Queen asks we pray for her son and his kids. Parental rights to the children were lost. He may get custody of the girl, which would open the door to him getting the boys. The decision is under appeal.
Kat (Iwannabethinnow) requests prayer for her friend with breast cancer.
Kris M. asks for prayer for Charlene and her family during this difficult time.
MariPW also asks for prayer for her pending move back to Texas in May.
Michelle S. - Michelle's mother has been diagnosed with cancer, is getting radiation and will soon be making a decision about chemotherapy. Also continue praying for her family's various other health issues.
Nina - Pray for cousin, that he be guided in the right direction with his marraige.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
Long time no see. I've been preoccupied with alot of things and haven't been around much. I was laid off from my job in July of last year. Hubby hurt his back in April last year and was in alot of pain. He finally had his back surgery in November but the day after his back surgery his mom passed. He got out of the hospital on November 3rd and on the 7th we were on a plane up to MI for the funeral.
Jim's surgery went OK but he's still in pain. Can't stand more than 10-15 minutes and have to sit or if we are at the store he has to go sit in the car. He went through his therapy and still isn't better. The Dr. has ordered for him to have a myelogram (sp?) so now we wait on workmans comp to approve that.
On a positive note my daughter is due with her baby in May. She is going to have a baby girl so we are excited about that.
Anyway I just wanted to stop in to say Hi to you and everyone. I'll be around.
Connie
Thanks for doing the NWM, just because I don't post here often, doesn't mean that I don't lurk......OOPS was I supposed to admit that?? LOL
Hugs, Mari
Been busy today - trying to come up with some uniquely designed cupcakes for a bake sale at our church - a young womens group that Heather is part of is sponsoring it. Luckily for me cupcakes make me sicker than a dog so it is not tempting for me to have them around. Just looking at that icing makes me queasy! I will make cookies as well as bake a few pies as those seem to sell well too.
Looks like bad weather is headed our way today and tomorrow. UGH. Probably will have to cancel soccer practice and the game on Saturday if it rains like they say it will. It is such a pain in the butt to make up games!!!
Was sad to hear of the passing of Charlene's mom. Will definitely keep her in my thoughts.
Ok, I'd better run. Need to do a bit more kitchen clean-up!
