I don't have any family here , my friend told me she would take me and pick me up for surgery, she backed out , will they let me drive myself there and back home the next day, I have to spend one night at the hospital.

umm no dear i dont think they will let you drive yourselt there and back nor will you feel up to it. however, you picked the right place to post this.
So, here's what you do now.
Post your surgery date and details and where you are having surgery. Trust me, SOMEONE here will be happy to tote ya :)

Mark that off your list of To Do's.
