4.5 Weeks Post RNY Surgery

Hello all.  Sorry I did not post last week!

I lost another 6 pounds last week and I am on pace to loose another 5-6 this week.  I'll take that 6 pounds a week baby! Putting me at 405 currently. That is 1.2 pounds a day overall since Oct.

Body core is not nearly as sore as it was and I have almost as much core movement as I had.

Energy levels are up and down.  

I have my month (really 5 weeks) post surgery appointment Thursday.

I got my oder of Unjury Protein in today, the Chicken Soup Flavor, as I am very very tired of the sweet Bariatric Advantage shakes.  I suppose that has been my biggest challenge is getting enough protein. Doc is asking for 80 grams and I have just not been able to hit that just.  I figure I am getting about 60 or so.

 WOW congratulations on the huge weight loss.   Keep up the good work.   Try to get in as much protein as possible.  Are you getting in your vitamins yet???   That is extremely important too.   Enjoy the massive weight loss while it is coming.   There will be a day to come that you won't loose much at all.   Congrats and keep up the fantastic work !!!

OH yea they start you on cheewable vits right away...Gotta work for the protien though.

Congratulations on your steady weight loss.  Make sure that you stay hydrated.  That makes a huge difference on energy.  Let me know how the chicken soup flabor Unjury is.  Just remeber to space out your protein, and don't try to take it all at once.

Isn't it funny how you can not a lot of stuff that tastes sweet now?  I was never a huge sweets person, but it never made me feel sick to my stomach to eat it.  After my RNY, I got sick after about 1/4 of my shake.

Keep trying until you find something that works for you.  I took the protein bullets.  Sometimes I took them straight to get it over with, and sometimes I mixed it with water.  They don't taste that good, but I would take a big swig and go back to it three times.  That was the fastest way to get it down.
