New Contacts!

So many changes....Will I survive it?!?!  LOL! When I went for my eye exam last week Imade a comment about wishing there was hard lenses for astigmatisms and was told there was! Ha...who knew! I've tried soft lenses over the years and never could get used to getting them out. Anyway since I've been wearing progressive lenses for years he put me in mono-vision lenses. In only about 10 minutes I was adjusted to them and seeing great at distances but reading was a bit smudgy. We had a slight mis-communication....I had told him about having no mid-range when I dive since my mask is only near and far vision. He thought that's what I wanted all the time so I ended up keeping this left one to use on weekends when I dive and he ordered a new left one with the correct strength for reading and sewing. In fact I could probably go without a near one at all this next week and be fine.

Now I realize how much I depended on hiding behind my glasses...the things they hide! Like droopy lids, bags under my eyes, weird eyebrows...just OLD looks. OMG...I may have to get girly and start wearing make-up or sumpthin'!!!

Is this just another phase of my transformation? Why have I not asked about contacts before now? Surely I knew progress had been made in the technology over the last 10-15 years! What's next?

Oh, Girlfriend.....I'm gettin' scared! I am SO not a girly girl but I keep catching myself looking at clothes, new hair styles, make up and shoes....I even bought a girly fashion magazine the other day! OMG.... what am I turning into! I'm scared what I'll be by November....you may never recognize me!

Tell ME! I'm telling you...I'm scaring myself! But I did come back to earth and put my flip flops, tank top and shorts back on. WHEW! It was a close call!

That is close.. but im wondering about the future here :)
 

Well...it was gut-wrenching scary enough I hope I learned my lesson. I do NOT want to fall over the fence into the Dark Side!

Good for you Dee.  Now on the girly, girl stuff.......Go For It!  It's fun shopping, changing our hair, buying shoes, purses, makeup.  If I won the lottery I'd be having some real fun, darn bills keep interfering in my shopping excursions.

Well...If I can't resist it all I may need some lessons! I think I was in high school the last time I did all that stuff!

Girl just fall into the dark side. Lord knows the 'Princess Crew' is over here just itchin to get their hands on ya! They will have your outta your Doc Martins and flip flops and into the Steve Maddens and Bling before you know it!
