Admitted in psych hospital for taking 60 xanex

Elsa {{{{hugz}}}} so sorry you had to go through this! I am the wife of a Bi-Polar husband and the Mom of 2 adult BP kids. Recently my hubby saw a new psychiatrist and was perscribed Lamictal and Geodon. The Geodon knocked him out and he would sleep 12-14 hours, so he stopped it. The interesting thing that we found out that we had never been told before was that Bi-Polar depression is totally different than Uni-polar depression, which is what "normal" (for lack of a better term) depression is. The Lamictal treats bi-polar depression but not the mania. Luckily, hubby doesn't suffer a lot with mania, only rarely does he have a manic episode and they are not way off the scales. You may already know all this, but we found out that the ant-depressant that he had been taking for years was actually aggravating the depression! Just some thoughts for you!
