Something Special In Everyone

Take a minute.  What makes you a good person?  What makes you special?  What are you good at? Look deep within yourself... There is SOMETHING good about everyone.  If you are struggling with this issue, make an effort to do this.  Start with something simple, like you are a good listener or you have the ability to keep trying.  The more you work at it, the more things you will find.

I am special, and by God, nobody is going to make me feel otherwise!!!!  (LOL... Sorry... needed to get that one out.)

Special because

I am a mother that realizes that I am not perfect, but I am working on it.

I am a wonderful friend.

I am patient

I have a heart of gold.

I look for the best in others, even when they don't see it.

This does help.
I always read them, even though I might not have anything to add.
There have been times I'll go back and add something that didn't occur to me until later.
Keep it up!!!

The only good cat is a sleeping cat...>^--^< zzzzzzz

Hi Kim,

I love this new thread...it makes me hafta think about me....

I am in a good place emotionally today...I get to go to my actual Unit that I will be working on, tonight.

Ive been in orientation all week and this will be the first time ive ever even stepped foot in that part of the hospital, ive only been to HR in that Bldg.

Im excited, im not nervous because im sure I will just shadow some other nurse...its a new skillset for me and I love learning new things...

I dont know what God has planned for me, I know its gonna be awesome because thats the kinda God he is....

Ive been an LVN for 17 years, I have talked with recruiters/counselors about doing the RN class, but i keep thinking about physical therapy assistant....that just keeps entering my mind...I have applied every where for a job and got turned down....

The job I have now is in a physical rehabilation hospital...hum, thats where all the PTA's are...do you see where im going with that...I think God landed me in the place that im gonna retire from, hopefullly as a PT/PTA...

God, create in me a clean heart, create a right spirit within me....

First of all, thank you for letting me know that you enjoy my thread.  I was wondering if it was doing anything good.

I am so glad to see that you are doing good emotionally.  I was worried about you.  Being unemployed can take a lot out of you.

I agree with you.  I think that God has put you in your current place for a reason.  Now you will not only have some connections in the PTA area, you will get some experience.  I am excited for you.

Congratulations!!! I'm so glad you've found something that fits you so well. I've been in PT for about 3 weeks now and I have to say the therapist makes all the difference in the world! I've had it before for various injuries but always felt like a pice of meat shuffled through an insurance supply line. These 3 ladies I'm working with are truly there for me, explaining things, guiding me both there and at home. If I was younger it would be tempting to start a new career!

Great advice, Kim ...

Something I have told many people about in the past that hold a stubborn prejudice against all people of a certain race, religion, ethnicity, etc.:   think of SOMEONE of that particular group that you DO admire, or that has done great things for others in general ..   Every socio group has members like that ..      Then, whenever you encounter someone of that group think of that other person  ..  Eventually I bet your former way of thinking about members of that group will slowly change for the postiive  ..

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "
