Taxing Thursday WLS Express
Good morning TRAIN!!!! It has been a LONG time since I posted but I am back in the swing of things now.
HAPPY TAX DAY TO ALL!!!!!
I am on the HUNT for a J-O-B!!! I was laid off a year ago and am ready to re-enter the job market. I really wish I could make it through the summer before returning to work but my savings will only last until June. Something part time would be IDEAL because I would like to return to school in the fall. If you know of any accounting positions open in the Fort Worth area, let me know!!!!
Have a super great TAX DAY!!!

I'm getting a late start this morning so thanks for holding the train for me! I've got several do rags orders I HAVE to get finished and in the mail tomorrow so I'll be sewing most of the day. But I will take the time out to get on the treadmill, looks like this misty sprinkle could get worse.
I just got a call from my physical therapist that the new pool will be open when I go back Tuesday so she's changing me to deep water aerobics for a session or two to see how tht works. In case you were wondering, Dr. Garth sent me next door to his clinic to the Sports Medicine facility for PT on my arthritic knees. They are working closely together to benefit his bariatric patients with joint problems. I love therapist, Candace. She specializes in WLS patients and has given me so much help, not just for the PT. And yes, it's getting better!
Another new thing for me....I'm getting contacts! It's been years since I wore them, always hated the soft ones because they were so hard to get out but they make hard ones now that will work with my hinky eyes so I'm giving them a try. I go Monday to get them fitted. It'll be weird...I've been hiding behind glasses for 30 years!
OK..gotta get busy! Prayers for all who need them. Hey...you in the back! Sit down before you fall off the train!

Tell me me more about these hard contacts! What are they called?
I wore the original hard contacts years ago in high school - you know - the ones that feel like sand in your eyes for 2 weeks before you get used to them? I did and loved them.
I tried the toric soft lenses a long time ago also and never could get adjusted to them. I have a bad astigmatism in both eyes along with being blind as a bat.

Exactly! My last good experience was with those same old hard ones. I've been told all these years that with my astigmatism the soft lenses were all I could get. Then as my eyes got worse and I needed progressive/trifocal lenses I just gave up hope.
These new ones are called gas permeable hard lenses. www.bostoncontactlenses.com/bostonlenses.html This is the brand he ordered, I'm not sure exactly which ones. Since I need progressive glasses he's trying me in monovision lenses. www.allaboutvision.com/contacts/monovision.htm I already know from having one lense fall out of glasses that my eyes adjust quickly to one in and one out! The other alternative was weighted bifocals that he admitted takes quit a few fittings and trying different lenses to find a pait with the right weight. If all else fails I can go back to glasses but I need to give this a try.
Check into these if you're really interested. I was totally surprised to find out I'm no longer a freak!
