Oh, there was absolutely no reason for any jealousy. The husband wasn't overly friendly, in fact if anything he picked up on her attitude and was sort of standoff-ish, especially compared to the way he usually is around me. He definitely wasn't looking. And I didn't talk to him any more than any of the others although we were sitting beside each other.

Oh well.....her problem, not mine!

If she chooses to end your "friendship" over this, then she wasn't really a friend.
Exactly, it is her problem. You and her hubby didn't have to do anything for her to feel threatened. It's all in her head. She's insecure.

I have to say - this group of DIVAS, CLIQUE girls, Main girls, mean girls, peeps, whatever you wanna call em is the first group of females that I have ever had as true friends. 

All of my friends from high school on have been men. Made things much much easier.

I have two (had three) life friends since childhood and we have our bad times, but ultimately we come back to each other.  I have finally learned, after one of htem took her life, that you can't waste your time on UNreal friends.  Spend it with the ones that mean the most.

Dee, sweets, im so sorry you had to experience this. You are such a nice, friendly lady with so much to offer. I lost an ENTIRE SET of friends after i had the surgery because im 'no longer fun and certaintly not attractive'. It was actually a large group of friends that i usta go on cruises with.  Ironic eh! Ya  .. me not fun!!! lol.  Girl you keep on keeping on and Ms Loretta can just go 'F!' herself!!!! Again im so sorry you had to experience it tho... You are really a kind person and it sucks! you just enjoy your diving!!!!!

Yep - been there, done that, got the t-shirt.  She isn't thinking that what she is saying is hurtful and disrespecful to you - she is fuming inside because you make her feel and look "fat" now and she doesn't like it.

I have always worked around mostly men and much prefer it to women because they are up front and say what they mean.  I also then to do that which doesn't endear me to a lot of women LOL.

I also picked up the habit of the self-deprecating humor from working in a plant.  I have worked here over 20 years and know every inch of the plant and was giving a plant tour yesterday.  One of the operators asked me what I was doing and I told him I was telling the visitors everything I know and it only took me 10 min. 

I hear ya! It's been years since I was in the work force but Beast has always brought his friends and co-workers home. Apparently ours is a good 'hang house' because I'm don't get all 'wifey' on everyone! I took that as a huge compliment! So between cops and various other law enforcement agencies, welders and divers I've picked up that habit of up front and honest that I admire. Maybe throw in a little too crude at times. And you're right...my few women friends don't always appreciate it!

I knew we got along good for some reason!  LOL!

Been there, done that.  My best friend in Texas started making snide comments about my weight loss and went so far as to say to another neighbor "Dana, she eats one PEA and is full".  She was very encouraging when I had surgery UNTIL I got close to her weight.  We are no longer friends, and although some times I want to contact her the pain of the comments she made still hurts.

Dont you hate that ****!!! Dont worry, i claim you as my sister any day of the week!!!!
