I always say that it could be worse, much much worse.....well, guess what?  It's gotten there.  My weight has crept up enoughShocked 1 that I am concerned and have to take action.  I've got to start pushing more protein and less carbs. I have enough on my plate right now without having to worry about weight issues. Anywho... 

Back to packing today -- My house looks like a bomb went off in it. I have paths between boxes, with 3 different box sections: Moving, Donation, Tra****'s a journey! My oldest sister, Ann (who lives in Portland OR) is coming down on the 29th and will be here until the 5th.  That's going to be an enormous help.  We've heard about me...how are YOU doing??  H

Well you've gained another pound, that's good!  What weight do the Docs want you to get up to???  Keep it up! 

Watch those Whipped Cream fights - they might be tempting, even the SF kind!  lol

I saw 145.4 once last week so that made me happy.  Back up to my usual for a Monday but that's ok.

Mari - I don't know how you have held it together as well as you have!  The water and protein works, but you don't need me to tell you that, you already know.  But protein doesn't soothe your nerves like carbs do - it's truly a battle.

I know you are coming back to Texas, but which city?  Will you be in H-town or Hill Country?

Glad you are back on track - I'll be back there soon, I know.  I really have been hitting the carbs a little heavy, and you're right, it's because they are soothing.  I don't have anything else here to soothe or comfort me, so I have been relying on carbs, way too heavily. I've got to try to reset my way of thinking about survival for the next month and a half. I'm so glad that sis is coming in 2 weeks, then Terry is coming for a few days around the 13th.  Sally is coming over to drive back with me, I think she flies in on the 26th. Too many dates for me to try to keep track of these days.  It's CRAZY!!! Crazy 1 I'm going to be staying with Sally for a little while. Am afraid that she's going to have to have a knee replacement.  It's giving her fits and an incredible amount of pain.  Of course, she won't let up on it. Has to paint the living room before I get there. WTH? Why can't she wait until I get there so I can help, especially on the ladder parts of it?  She's too much!!!!

3lbs is a great start!! Keep it up...pack in the protein, water, and vits, avoid the excess sodium, all it does is bloat you up and cause you to retain fluids.  Stay on top of what you are eating and work that tool!

DANGIT!!  I'm right there with you, Mari!!  And I don't have the excuse of moving to blame my stress on.  Somehow I've gained 5 pounds in 2 weeks!!    I'm at my goal weight now, but I really like being keeping below that.  In the past, this is the time I'd throw in the towel and say "F-it!!" and I'd give up.  Not this time!!  My goal is to lose 2 pounds this week.  Water, protein, exercise, less carbs.  That's my plan!!

Haven't posted in a while... been really busy with work and life... I got a promotion which is great but stressful... my grandma has been sick and recently passed with is again stressful and emotional...  I have really gotten bad with the carbs so started the 5 day pouch test today... I bought the book and it has a lot of great recipes and really does a good job explaining how and why it works... Today has been pretty good had a little bit of carb withdrawl symptoms earlier today but got better after having some emrgen - c, also have gotten all my water in plus some, and I mowed the lawn which was good exercise.
