I was in choir all through jr high and high school.  I went to Texas Tech as a music major, but after a year and a half dropped out when my dad becme terminally ill and I wanted to be at home with him. I never went back and finished.  While at TT i learned to play the piano and the violin.  I haven't read a piece of music in many years and not sure I could any longer. I still sing in the car and the shower. Does that count?

Gina, you inspired me. I ran 4 miles yesterday. It wasn't pretty, but I did it and felt much better afterwards. Plan to repeat today.  How is your knee after your shopping on Saturday?

Kathy, where are you?

Morning all, quick fly by for me. Last week was so hectic here at the firefield. We lost one of our own who was a very honored and respected member of the fire service for many years. His Memorial service was Friday, so we didn't have to come into work at all. Over 100 Fire Service vehicles were in the processional, it was really amazing to watch. Just playing catch up now!

Will try to get an update on Baby JJ today from sister-in-law. They had the party for her son this weekend and I think Jay and JJ were going to attend.

Found out that grandbaby #7 is on the way and should arrive in early December. That from my son and his GF. Kinda glad my old boss decided to move me back under her and out from under the GF now! They are excited, this will be her first and his 3rd.

Dreamed about freaking Algebra all night and feel like I might have slept a total of an hour, so wishing for a nap....like that would ever happen!! LOL

Prayers for all in need!

Hugz,
Gina L

Good morning Train Riders!  I used to play viola, played for 8 years and stopped once I went to college.  Funny story on how I got started on that, when I was in 5th grade I joined the orchestra.  My Dad wanted me to play cello, I wanted to play violin.  He went to sign me up for the orchestra, and compromised and signed me up for viola.  Turns out cello would have been better for me physically because I have a problem with my wrist that caused pain the whole time I played, but I did enjoy it.  I'd love to learn how to play guitar someday, maybe one of these days I'll try.

Gearing up for a super busy week.  This is one of my meeting weeks from hell at work, so I'm probably going to be working early and late every day to make sure I get stuff done.  Wed am we're going in to see the OB, and I'm hoping (but not really counting on) we find out if we're having a boy or girl.  Friday I'm working 1/2 day then dealing with lease, moving computers, and shopping for washer and dryer.  We don't have much more to pack thank goodness so at least I won't be stressing about that this week.

OK, computer is up and running so I'm off to the races.  Prayers going up for Charlene and her family, and everyone else who needs comfort, healing, support or just a helping hand.

I used to play the flute, but gave it up for choir in HS.  Like others, I still sing in the shower and in the car, BIG TIME.

I'm back working on the scary, sewing room today.  Didn't get much done yesterday. I was too tired to think straight, much less have motivation to pack anything.  I would love to know what it waking me up around 1am every night.  I can't wait to get outta here, because I believe it's the new folks upstairs and their danged dogs.  2 chihuahuas and their pups, where do the dogs "live"? In the master bath, in the garden tub...for Pete's sake! I went from the frying pan to the fire!!! Apartment living, gotta love it...NOT!!

I'm going to go make some scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast and then hit the boxes.  Gotta have some protein and really cut out the carbs this week. My weight is climbing and I don't want it to get out of control.

Prayers for Charlene and fam, Eric and Jenny, Michelle and her Mom and everyone else who needs them...spoken and unspoken!

Hugs, Mari
