Hi! I am new here and just got my surgery date. It is May 19 and I have been through 1 1/2 years of stuff for my insurance company. 2 educations classes, 2 phsych evals, 2-6 month diets with my doctor. Finally got approved and have a date. I am still nervous....

Congrats for the approval.   Sounds like you have had to jump through more hoops than many of us to get your approval.   What surgery are you going to have??   Let us know if we can help you with any questions you may have.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Congrats on your date!!    (happy dance)

I got my date this week, too!!

What surgery are you having?  Will it be in Round Top....or maybe Austin?

Sounds like you've really been through the ringer with your insurance company.  Good for you....you 'won'!!!

Keep us up to date.

Congratulations!!! That's awesome.  I'm sure after 1 1/2 years, this is quite an amazing experience.    I'm new here too and trying to feel my way around the site and forums.  These forums have been so helpful for me as I'm sure they will be for you!

Welcome.
It's normal to be nervous. I think I'd worry if you weren't.
I realized it's a good thing, at least in my case, for the pre-op stuff to take a year or so, cause I've had that time to mentally prepare.
I've grown a lot in the past year. MENTALLY!!!
It seems like forever, but anything worth having is worth working for. I've been waiting 56 years for this, so a few more months ain't gonna hurt!!!

CONGRATULATIONS !!!!

The nerves are normal - we all had the "what the h@ll am I doing?" moments before surgery and sometimes "what the h@ll did I do?" afterwards but it passes.  Especially after you are healed up and the pounds start dropping off!
