Wacky Wednesday WLS Express
WOOOOOHOOOO for Hump Day! I'm up and at 'em and going strong this morning.... I have my sinus headache again, but I didn't get it until just now... The weatherman said it was supposed to rain, so it must be moving in..... Oh well, I'll take something for it and muddle on... LOL
Prayers are going up for all that need them!
Flashback time, America's Horse With No Name is on the turntable.... Sing along, I know I am, I used to know all the words by heart.....
On the first part of the journey
I was looking at all the life
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz
And the sky with no clouds
The heat was hot and the ground was dry
But the air was full of sound
I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La, la ...
After two days in the desert sun
My skin began to turn red
After three days in the desert fun
I was looking at a river bed
And the story it told of a river that flowed
Made me sad to think it was dead
You see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La, la ...
After nine days I let the horse run free
'Cause the desert had turned to sea
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
there was sand and hills and rings
The ocean is a desert with it's life underground
And a perfect disguise above
Under the cities lies a heart made of ground
But the humans will give no love
You see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La, la ...

Good monring all! Hope this finds everyone feeling at least HUMAN. This junk blowing in the air is sure up allergies in my house-not good since we've all had/have pneumonia of varying degrees...it's some ROUGH stuff. Our poor lil respiratory pts at the nursing home are REALLY suffering-and they don't even go outside IN the wind!
Anyone have an ERIC update? Not having FB at work cramps my "keeping up" with my peeps...crap...
Heading out "Fit 30" boot camp in a few minutes...knee still jacked up, but have been elevating and icing it (when not walking/lurching on it), and am being as careful as possible. I made a committment to this exercise thing...FINALLY..and the devil made this happen....****** me off...
Prayers all around-SPECIAL ones for SPECIAL peeps-God knows who needs what/when/how
Hope everyone finds a WOOHOO in their Wednesday today!

We Can Do Hard Things
Thanks for asking, Gina.
Eric has been dealing with a complication called an ileus but luckily it cleared up earlier this week. He got his 38 staples out yesterday but there still isn't a pathology report yet since they had to do additional stains on it (per the doc). We're in the scariest place right now with the pathology report findings. If they find mixed germ cells in any of the nodes he's going to need at least 2 more rounds of high dose chemo. If it's teratoma then we're in the clear and won't need more chemo. We both have a really good feeling it's only teratoma, but the fear of mixed germ cell in the nodes is a real possibility. It's hard facing reality right now since we've both been enjoying normalcy for a while. He's even started growing back his hair and eyebrows and Rhiannon loves playing with it. God PLEASE let it only be teratoma. I don't think we can take much more.
Anyway, here's a pic of him on Easter Sunday. You can see the soft peach fuzz on top of his head. I love this picture of him. I think it's one of he best pictures of him ever.
