second question?
also, I have dumped my primary care guy, he wouldn't listen to me and actually prescribed a med that gave me an awful weekend of diarrhea after I had told him over and over that I am prone to that particular side effect. This after just one dose! If a med MIGHT cause the runs, it will give me dysentery like symptoms. He just insisted that I try it for a week or two, it would help with BS control and have the added benefit of losing a few pounds! This is the same guy who sent me to Dr. Harvard Educated gastro guy who gave me the bum's rush into phantom surgery. So anyhow, I don't go to him any longer, I've asked that my records be sent to him house and I will carry them personally to the next doc when I find him. Which leads to my new question. anybody out there got any recommendations for a primary care physician/internist in the Richmond, Sugar Land area? The only reason I say internist is that I'm not crazy about sitting in the waiting room with all the sick kids in the area, mine are grown and I prefer to go to a doc who speciallizes in adults, plus, it would't hurt if he/she were familiar with RNY patients and wasn't averse to calling Dr. Spivak if there are any questions about me. Something none of the last bunch of $%#^& losers thought to do.
I third!
Dr. Adam Weinstein is the greatest thing since sliced bread (as my dad would say... LOL!)
The majority of his patients are WLS pre-post ops!
He will take time with you and listen to you.....and he actually knows about how our bodies differ after WLS.
I know he isn't near you.....but he is worth the drive! It takes me 30+ minutes to get to his office.

P.S. Thanks again Lynn for the referral! What a gift! :-)

thanks ladies, I'll give him a call when I get home! As for not being near me, I was actually getting to the point of considering driving either to Nacogdoches or back to Tennessee just to see a doctor I trust. I already drive to Nac for a hair cut every 6 weeks. Of course, it doesn't hurt that my parents, sister, friends are there, so I make it a multi-use visit!
