What makes you special?
Okay... so I was so busy I completely forgot to post this yesterday... Sorry.
We spend so much time bashing ourselves for what we are doing wrong. Take a minute. What makes you a good person? What makes you special? What are you good at? We all need to do this, so I am going to try and post this everyday. Some of us already know... Some of us are struggling with a low self-esteem. Look deep within yourself... There is SOMETHING good about everyone. If you are struggling with this issue, make an effort to do this. Start with something simple, like you are a good listener or you have the ability to keep trying. The more you work at it, the more things you will find.

I hadn't thought about how I might be "special" and have been absent for months so had missed the beginning of this thread, but now I wonder... I think I am a good friend, a good mother, a loving and patient wife, a good dog trainer (you didn't say it had to be just human stuff!), have become sort of comfortable with international travel on my own, even able to be polite to the security people in the airport in Moscow, and have been working diligently at forcing myself to be more outgoing, greeting people first instead of waiting for them to make the first move.... Now ya'll have started something, I'll be thinking about this one all day. Thanks
