Accountable April

Here we are now on a new month...I blew yesterday with a McDonalds sausage biscuit (part of one) and some Robins eggs and popcorn.  I went a little wild with the carb.  Oh well...today is a new day and month...let's be accountable with what goes in our mouths.

Today's plan:
lots of liquids...at least 100 oz.
protein coffee
Click shake this afternoon
leftover peanut chicken/crab...sounds weird but is good
dinner: probably Schwan's chicken parmesan
sf chocolate mousse pudding cup

What's your plan for today?

Good news from Dr D yesterday! He told me to quit worrying about gaining weight just maintain!!! He also wants me to find some healthier options on calories instead of some of the junk in case my body does adjust it will be easier to adjust my eating habits!! He laughed when I told him I felt out of control and I thought one day I woud wake up and all of a sudden be 300 lbs again. He siad he doesn't see that happening especially with the great job I have done through all of this!

So I have made so adjustments in my menu and will only weigh once a week and only be concerned if I get below 127lbs!! This is my new normal. He said he is not surprised I need more caloies because of my bowel resection. Less area to absorb calories.

Will not post what I am eating but that I am eating well and maintaining!!Lunch packed for first day back to work again! Make it a great day!!

I really worried that I was going to gain a bunch of weight back too.  I know how you feel.  When you are having to eat a lot of calories to MAINTAIN your weight, it can be scary.  It is especially scary when you struggled for so long to lose weight.
Since I have had my reversal surgery, I am doing good.  You are eating like you do to survive.  Trust me, i don't think that you need to worry about gaining too much.  When you see that scale going too far up, you will start to adjust what you eat.
I am glad that you are not going to weigh but every week.  That will help you to focus on other things than your weight.  It is no fun when that is the only thing on your mind.

Good luck with your first day back to work.  I will be thinking about you.

Well, I am going to start this morning off on a bad foot, but only because I need to.  I have a really headache.  The only thing that gets rid of them fast is a Dr Pepper with a BC powder... So, that means extra water the rest of the day.

Today's plan:

at LEAST 64oz water.  (I like the idea about posting an amount... gives me a goal.)

B Fruit and two boiled eggs
L Thin crust Pizza (eating as a group at work today.)
D Spinach salad -- no meat, but w/boiled eggs.

Didn't get a chance to post this morning, so gonna do a fly by now...my Trainer, AKA Nazi Nephew,  looked at my food plan, and said I need more CARBS, with the intensity of the work outs he's having me do...I thought it was a cruel April Fool's joke..but he was serious...He wants me to at least incorporate some brown rice daily, so I'll pick some up tonight. He suggested I get some frozen to start with-said they have in the frozen veggie section at WalMart..hmmm..who knew? I had a Kashi cereal sample, in my work desk, so had it when I got it earlier today-was kinda hard to MAKE myself eat those carbs-funny how we get in such a mindset...

B: Click

S: Yogurt with Kashi cereal

L: Chicken/green beans

S: Apple/Click

D: Pinto beans/veggies

Carbs, yes but that is not a free pass...for those obsering.  BROWN RICE = fiber.  Good choice!!  Any carb you eat should have something to keep it in your system long enough to do some good.  Fiber, fat and protein do the trick....whole wheat pasta with lean chicken and low fat cheese or brown rice, black beans and salsa (with maybe a dollop of LF sour cream) are good choices.  Not that Gina would choose these, but potatoes, white rice and white pasta are not the best choices because they make our blood sugars spike.  (And be observant of your WLS rules)

Good nephew you got there!  If I wasn't completely, and thoroughly happily married I'd need directions to the bootcamp!  My kind a guy!!
