Hey Guys,

I hope everyone is well... Been a while since I have posted here, I usually just post on the Excercise & Fitness forum, but I wanted to give you guys a heads up. I was asked to speak at the Obesity Help Convention in Costa Mesa, CA on May 21st & 22nd and ALSO at the Houston Convention in November. I think it would be awesome if any and all of you could make it out to either one (Houston is probably more likely). In 2 years I have gone from 400 pounds to a 200 pound Ultra Marathoner and Ironman Triathlete, and will be swimming from Spain to Africa as a fundraiser for Childhood Obesity. I am hoping to inspire any and all who attend, and will be offering insight as to what has and has not worked for me in my Weight Loss Journey. The tickets are usually $60, but I have a coupon code that lowers the price to $35. Send me a PM if you are interested and I will get you details and the code. Thanks guys and have an AWESOME weekend....

DAN-what great news! Obviously, Calif is a bit far for me, but am def planning to be in Hposton-even the Quenn of Procrastination here bought her ticker WEEKS ago.

Will you be a featured speaker (as in the whole room) or a "break out" speaker? I hope it's the former, so the MOST peeps get to hear your story. Bring lots of pics!

It'll be fun to be able to claim "I know him BACK WHEN"

I'll never be the level of athlete you are-I do not even wabt/aspire to be-but you DO inspire me to want to be the best I can be for ME, and I want to than you for that. I was going to post that on "our" group, but thought I'd put it here, for more to see.

FYI-you might want to repost later-you know weekends are usually pretty "light readign" here on the TMB-I just happened to have unusualt time myself

Again-am very happy for you!

Hey Dan - I bought my Htown OH tickets about a month ago too!  Would love to hear you speak.  It's always great to listen to one of our great success stories!!!

I am also truly impressed that you are making the swim from Spain to Africa -- You make me feel like a big old slug, which I am not, but as Gina said...am no where on the same continent as you, much less the same page.

Am looking forward to seeing you in November!!!

Hugs, Mari

Dan, that is awesome! I can't wait to hear you speak! Your story is amazing, and I've read it several times.

I am definitely coming in November, but I hope by then I'll already be at my maximum athletic potential, and that my crazy self won't get any ideas about swimming from one country to another...lol...I would be the one that drowns. You have done such amazing things! Wow! When are you doing that fundraiser?

Thanks for the kind words as always!!! It would be great to see you down there, and I was shooting for August to do my swim, but now am having plastics in May, so that might get pushed back a bit... We shall see

Ok...........now you've REALLY got my attention! LOL. What are you getting done, and who is doing it?

I've scheduled a consult with Dr. L in Houston for October. I'm ready to do several things now, but I'm actually going to wait till the first of next year, because I'm going to use tax money to pay the extra amount (my insurance covers pannis...and I meet all requirements...just have to document!) to turn my panni into a tummy tuck, and may get ummm some other stuff done. LOL.

I've been researching quite a bit, but hey...this only gives me that much more time to prepare, and lose my last few lbs. Woohoo.

Hey Kim,

I am getting my moobs (Man Boobs) lopped off  via mastopexy and will be doing an extended abdominoplast (Tummy Tuck) in June. Next year I will have my back and butt done to complete the full LBL... Don't think I will need legs or arms done so I should be good. Best of luck to you dude, and look forward to meeting ya...
