Good afternoon all.  Pretty day outside.  So glad it is for Mary's sake.  It is so much nicer to celebrate your birthday on a sunny day.

Taking Mary out to dinner tonight for her birthday at Cafe Madrid.  Go visit the paintings she gave them to decorate the place.

Tomorrow is my baseball draft.  Don't know what we will do tomorrow night.  May try to convince Mary to take in a movie.

Gonna go run to Walmart and Aldi while Mary is out with her scrapbooking friends right now.

Later.

Just so you know, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS  AND SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Evenin' George...
First off, please pass along birthday wishes to Mary for me!!!

Well, got in to see my doc today regarding my hip.  She referred me to an orthopedic doc who had an opening immediately after my first appt. so went right over.  He took xrays and said there was a LITTLE bit of arthritis but that was so minor, it wouldn't be causing my pain.  He did poke around on the hip and when he hit a couple spots, OMG, thought I'd jump off the table from the shooting pain!  He then took the leg and manipulated it to try to see which way caused the worst pain, figured out what he could and said, "you have one WICKED case of bursitis".  Inflammation of the bursa fluid along the tendon in my leg.  He did an injection which gave a bit of relief then but not now so it didn't last long.  He wants to do a bit of therapy on it to stretch out that muscle and get the swelling down.  One nice thing is his nurse has had WLS so he knows all too well about us not being able to have NSAIDS so said we'd have to use other meds if necessary because he didn't want to cause any tummy problems.  It is sure nice to know the guy understands and "gets it"!!!  So, until I can get in with the physical therapy (probably not until Tue or Wed), just have to continue to baby it for now.  WAH!!!  Hmm, maybe that will get me out of doing stuff around the house this weekend....  Paul will be away most of the weekend as he's in an all-weekend tennis tournament.  He played three matches today and won all three so he plays again tomorrow all day.  He will be exhausted by tomorrow night!!!  Sarah has tennis tomorrow, too, so I'll be having to take her.

Need to try to get some decent rest tonight!

Hope you and Mary had a nice dinner!
