how much does gastric bypass cost?

my husband is looking into it now but the insurance has gotten stricter and we don't think he will be approved.  how much does lap rny cost?

Depends on who the doc and where, but mine was $20,000 4 years ago. I think you can get it done for 17-20.

Not at Baylor!  No doubt in my mind I paid for somebodies indigent care that day in the ER.  No cash discount at the hospital but Dr. Kuhn cuts some slack for cash pay.  Could have done better financially going to Tyler but did not know better at the time.  Dr. Kuhn was reccomended by my cardio and he also works from Baylor.  Live and learn.  Joke that I got the Ford 3/4 ton Super Duty 4X4 in my pouch and the bass/ski boat is in my ex-wife's!

* All pre and post-operative office visits with Dr. Nick
* Surgical fee for Dr. Nick
* All routine hospital charges with up to 2 nights in hospital
* All routine pre-operative testing done at hospital (routine labs, chest x-ray, EKG, upper GI)
* Pre and post-operative bariatric educational materials
* Surgical fee for anesthesiologist

  How much do you feel you need to lose?  

Has your DH thought about possibly going with the DS instead?    If he is SSMO or SMO eben, that might be the better option for him ..   

  Dr. Daryl Stewart currently charges $20K or so for lap DS, which is one of the lowest cash-pay prices in the U.S. at present ..  

  Your hubby can also consider going outside the U.S. for even less money ..  My surgeon in Brazil charges only $11.5K (all meds included) for lap DS ..
