Final wake up call

Wow, I have had a final wake up call about my weight and how baddly I need to lose it.  My father's and father in law's problems weigh heavily on my mind each day.  I realized something tonight that I never thought possible.

I have  been a Boy Scout most of my life, getting my Eagle Scout is one of my proudest accomplishments.  I have recently begun to go camping with my Dad and have loved being back outdoors.

If they wanted to, the Boy Scouts could keep me from going camping.  I understand it is a health concern and if there is something serious that happens, I could be in real trouble if they cannot get me help.   I do not blame the Boy Scouts for wanting everyone to be safe, I even agree with it.  My Scoutmaster will always trust me to know my limits, he will never exclude me unless there is no other option.

I don't know why this is the final sign that I seriously have to lose the extra weight, but it is.  Tomorrow starts a new day, I am re-dedicating myself to getting healthy.

Thanks for taking a moment to listen!!!

Have a great day!!!

Sometimes those Wake Up Calls can and do occur in the weirdest ways!  That they happen at just the right moment to 'hit' us like a ton of bricks is a miracle in and of itself.

Glad to hear that you were listening!

Good Luck and God Bless!

OH, my dear son.

I am so very glad to hear this.  Listening to you last night reaffirmed in this Mom that you have so much to offer the world, as a Good Scout, a loving Husband, a teacher and a good son.

We are here.  There is help out there for you.  Let's work on it together and see if we can achieve all your goals and get your life restarted, the way it was meant to be.

Jennifer has done a great job with her weight and I know as a family we will get this done.

I love you and am very proud of you

Good for you Chris! We will be behind you all the way, no matter what you decide! It sure is a lot easier, or at least it seems that way to me, to lose weight while you are still young rather than waiting til you are older!

I wish you all the luck in the world!!

Hugz,
Gina L

You've always been a part of this family and we will help you in any way we can.  Accountability is the key.  Feel free to post your menu for the day-just putting it out there makes you stick to it.

Thanks for all the encouragement!!!  Now what a better way to start than to make my wife happy and mow the yard.
Have a great day!!!
