Question
Have any of you ever suffered from restless leg syndrome? I'm not sure if that is what I have but here are my symptoms. At night when I lay down I feel like my legs are drawing up on me. I am told my legs don't stop moving when I am sleeping. I've never had this problem before. It seems to be getting worse. I also am finding that my hands go to sleep often to. Could it all just be poor circulation? I know I need to go see a doctor but thought I would ask here first.
Teena,
I've had RLS for years. My legs felt like there were ants crawling inside. There were nights I was in tears with them aching and twitching and I absolutely could not keep them still. I've been taking Klonopin at night and it definitely helps me (and King) get sleep!
I've heard of people who have the same problem with their hands as with their legs, but not too much on the hands going to sleep. I did have that problem before my carpal tunnel surgery, but not since.
Good luck - hope your doc can get you some relief!

I've had this for years, but I'm kinda lucky that for some BIZARRE reason I find shaking my legs comforting and helps put me to sleep even when they are not achy! Beware if you share a bed with me, though, apparently I do it in my sleep randomly all night. My boyfriend says it doesn't bother him anymore than his snoring bothers me.
Some nights, I have to take Advil or a stronger painkiller because shaking alone doesn't resolve the achy feeling.
I wonder if losing weight with surgery will help at all. I guess I'll find out.
