Acney

 URGH....I am 33 years old and 16 months post op. Since the surgery, I have battled adult acney. Is this normal? Does anyone else find themselves with this same battle?

Fortunately for me no I did not.  One round with acne in my lifetime was enough.  Probably ties into the hormone thing we all go through. 

I've battled adult acne since before my WLS.  However, expensive as it is, the best products I've ever found has been Proactiv. It really did work for me and clear up my skin.

I still battle it, but from all that I've read, it's common for up to 2 years after WLS due to changes in our hormones.  Just think about all that fat that's melted away - lot's of things are stored there and all of it goes back into your body.   Like someone else posted, I use proactiv and it helps.  Nothing will completely make it go away, but it does keep it under control.
