New here/San Antonio

Hi everyone,
I am fairly new here although I have been thinking about WLS for many years.  I think I have decided on the sleeve although that is still up in the air.  I am going to self pay so I'm looking for the best cost but still a good surgeon.  If anyone has suggestions for me that would be very much appreciated.  I have looked at Nicholson in Plano, TX.  That is 5 hours away for me and I'm not sure if they expect me to go there for a consultation and then back again for surgery.  I would like to do it locally if I could but not sure I can find a good price.  Thanks again!

Welcome to the TX Message board.  Congratulations on planning for WLS.  You may want to choose a surgeon near where you live.  It would be rather difficult to make it to appts, especially when you've just had surgery and have to go fairly often.  If you have an emergency situation you would be very far from your surgeon if you needed help.  I would suggest choosing one in the San Antonion-Austin area.  I'm sure some folks will suggest some good surgeons.
