Latest Update on my Mom

Just wanted to give you a quick update on Mom.  She saw the srugeon today and he has decided not to do the surgery tomorrow and just go ahead and do another needle biopsy only this time they will take it from the mass.  What he thinks it is is called a Pancoast Tumer or Squamis Cell Cancer.  I did a little research and it does not sound that bad.  Mom did say that if they found it was cancer that there would be radiation to shrink it, and then surgery to remove it and that she would head back up north to have all that done.  I will keep you posted.  Love you!

P.S. An nurses that can put this is easy terms it would be really helpful!

My mom just finished treatment for stage 1 breast cancer. It had not spread so she had a lumpectomy and 4 weeks later started 6 weeks of radiation! she didn't show any ill effects but was really tired all the time after week 4 ( she perked up in days after finishing up) and some burning around the site. She said it was more of an inconvenience than anything because it was evryday, sat & sun included, at 8:30 am!! She is not a morning person!
