Does it have to be that GNC? I live in the Medical Center.

Trust Lisa on this.   GNC is the only place that carries this brand and not all GNC's have it.  I also freeze mine and eat them like ice cream.  Very tasty and very satisfying.  I have one 5 days a week and never get tired of them.

Dang it!  I don't need any more protein - really stocked up last time GNC had a BOGO 50% and free shipping.  I love their Pro-Performance chocolate caramel in the red package but never tried the blue one.  The plain choc in the Pro Performance it a bit bitter to me so I am going to have to try the blue Max in a 2 lb'er just to see.....

Sarah the online site doesn't carry Max, only certain retail stores that are independantly operated.

Well double curses, then!  Now I have to go hit the GNC stores in my area to find some to try.  I guess I could do something old-fashioned - like pick up the phone and call the stores to see if they carry it instead of burning up my gas.

I am going to find some, if nothing else to get my friend at work to try it who is 6 years out with RNY and eats very little protein.  She has gagged at all the shakes I have brought her so far.  She held on with about a 20-lb regain for the last 3 years but her weight has steadily climbed this past year and I know it frustrates her.

We really don't know how lucky we are to have the "pouch rules" drummed into us and the support this board offers.  She didn't get that from her surgeon - he just did the surgery and that is when his support ended.  They got no guidlines on how to eat past the post-op diet to progress to normal food and she really doesn't believe me when I tell her what she needs to do (when she asks me, of course).

Sarah PM me your address and I'll send you a sample to try before you spend a small fortune on it.

lorelei,

I thougth that was a great idea to get like good gourmet soups. That got me to running to HEB to see what I could find. I did get a jarred ready tomato basil from La Madeliene.   They really had tons but alot had even more sodium than the condensed canned soups.  So I played it safe this time and I will experiment with the fancier ones.

Thanks for the idea.

Becky

Much useful! :)  I was looking at your list thinking I could do this after I had cookies and brownies at my daughter's yesterday......today is  a great day to start to since all I have had is oatmeal and coffee......How you been?

I'm happy...I made it thru entire first day and only thing I had was a bite of my daughter's vanilla frosty cause they said there was something wrong with it....tasted fine to me if you like vanilla soft swirl!  I have the black bean soup posted earlier to try tomorrow.  I'll have to make sure to ask if it causes gas......or maybe we have bean-o at our store at work.  Good luck with the 5dpt everyone using it!
