Cruise question

I'm a first-time cruiser, so I'm full of questions. I noticed that our dining time is "Your Time" - anywhere from 5:45-9 p.m., and we don't get assigned to a table. I don't understand, as Miranda went on this very same cruise last summer and she really enjoyed eating dinner with the same people each night. They got to know each other and it was fun. With this "Your Time" dining, we will have to wait to be seated just like at a restaurant. Does anyone know anything about this?

When we went on our cruise in December, we did the Your Time Dining. It just means that you can go to the main dining halls anytime between 5:45-9pm. If anyone goes WITH you they must also have selected Your Time Dining.

There were 4 of us in our party, so we just always sat the four of us together. I'm not sure how they treat smaller parties. I know one morning for breakfast Raymond and I went to the main dining room and we were seated with 2 other couples that didn't know one another. And during our conversation I found out that one of the couples is the aunt & uncle of one of my good friends. You just never know who you'll meet in the middle of the ocean! LOL

Lynne....did you not sign up for a specific time??? Sandy and I are dining early. If you don't get a assigned time you will have to just wait till a table gets available Yes...you are assigned a table if you get a specific time. You have my numbers call if you need questions answered. I am not a first time Cruiser. You probably need to call Carnival and tell them you want to change that to early dinning and be at the table with the rest of your roommates....that is if you want to eat with us.

Are you sure Vivian? Because that's the time range that was already set up for our reservation. I did not have the option of picking a time. Also, you and Sandy haven't completed some of the information yet.

What information have we not completed??? Sandy is in Iraq till July. She left a couple of days after reserving her space in our room and paying. I will check my reservations.

I checked online and now completed the online check in. I know when I booked the cruise I told them "early dinning". I will call them tomorrow and make sure that they have me down for that. I know Sandy told them that also. You should check also about that. That way you will have a assigned table. Unless they have changed things in the last 2 yrs. Which that could happen as we all know.
