Peptic Ulcer & EGD
Well - my UGI results have been reviewed by Dr Stewart - and he thinks I may have a Peptic Ulcer on/near my duodenum. There is a narrowing at the duodenum....so something is going on there.
I'm bummed!
Now I need to get a EGD. IF there is an ulcer - that will have to be treated and healed before my Dr will even consider surgery.
Booo-hoooo!
Suppose I should just sit back, relax about this bump in the road.....even though it's a nasty surprise.....then schedule and have the EGD to see what we're really dealing with - if anything.
Anyone else go through this??

Whew! That makes me feel a bit better. :-)
How long did it take on the meds before you were ready to schedule surgery??
Thanks for sharing, Meggie!

Hopefully it is nothing serious and you can get it taken care of and be on your way. Btw, WLS saved my life twice because I discovered I had stage 1 breast cancer when I was getting my approvals. Never would have found it that early if not for WLS. I got by with a lumpectomy and 6 weeks of radiation and Dr. Garth did my surgery 4 weeks after my last radiation treatment. I put my poor body through hell in 2008 and my hair shows it !
