Don't give up! You have been given several avenues to explore. Things only you can do. Go to Dr's seminars talk to their finace people start a 6 mo ww program so you have already got that under your belt if your husband changes insurance. Look into a part time or full time job who might have insurance that cover wls and put the money you make aside to pay for the balance.

This is something that if you want it you will find a way to get! One woman quit a better paying job beacause a lower paying job had better insurance so she could get the surgery!

All of us have had to give up something to have the surgery and don't take this wrong but others cannot do it for you. Explore all the options given to you by the many people on this board. We are here to support you but you have to support you too!!

You have an exclusion and your at the mercy of the employer to try to get WLS covered.  They can make an exception to allow you to have WLS.  I'd have documentation ready and you and your hubby go meet with HR to see what they can do to help you.

I had no options but self-pay.
