Good afternoon all.  A dreary day in DFW.  How often have we said that this year?

Slept pretty good.  Ought to make tonight go a little easier.

Not much else for right now.  Will be back later.

Just so you know, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS  AND SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Other prayer requests:

Amanda N. - researching the various WLS available.  May God help her to choose which is right for her.

Brenda F. - Pray for her health issues.

George - prayers for Oleta's mother.  Situation still the same, under hospice care.   Also, prayers for Bob who works for me on the part time job.  He has MS and Mantle Cell Lymphoma.  Bob was put back in the hospital on 3/8.

Gina L. - Praise that her brother is improving with the help of new meds! Praise that her FIL, Gary, is going home from the hospital. Would like to ask for prayer for her son Jeremy and daughter Stephanie. Both are bi-polar and are not on meds. Her husband Bill has started a new trial of meds for his bi-polar disorder.

Jennifer - prayer for the sale of their house in San Antonio.  They have made the move to the metroplex but still need to sell their house.

Karen the Papaya Queen asks we pray for her son and his GF and their kids.  They lost the parental rights to the children, but the decision is under appeal.

Kim (tennysonkw) wants prayer that she will be a better example to her children in the future, and that God will grant her strength to endure, as her and her husband go through a divorce.

Lynne R. asks for prayer for Maxine, a friend of hers who is not expected to live much longer.  Pray for Maxine to find peace and for her family to be strong.

Michelle S. - Prayers for her Unlce Paul who is apparently in the final stages of Alzheimers.  He is now in the hospice area of the VA Hospital.  Also pray for her father, who is Uncle Paul's only surviving sibling.  He is having a tough time.  Mark's grandmother is almost 101.  She has congestive heart failure.

Paul - prayers for Alice Cooper, a WLS individual who had back surgery recently.

Phyllis - Prayers for her as she is having problems in her life direction.  She has contacted some people from her school days on Facebook, but some of the memories have not been pleasant.  She is planning to go home to see her father (it's been 15 years) and it coincides with a school reunion.

Sarah448's son Jeremy had a car wreck (totalling his car) and recently lost his job also.

Vivian - Pray for her during the stressful time. She asks for prayer for Shawn.

Evening George!! Looking forward to Opening Day!! It can't get here quick enough!!!!
Slowly recovering... getting more fluids in today than the past 2 days combined. Have lost about 3lbs in the past few days *not in a good way* Left early from work cause I wasn't feeling great... Went to my Dr for a follow up from this weekend... and he had given me another b12 shot *yayyy it made me hungry* So I came home and made chicken salad with egg and had it with fresh spinach! We'll see how long this is tolerated! *crossing fingers it stays*

Gonna take it easy play a bit online then hit the pillows.
Prayers going up for those in need.
*Sandi*
*Strength... it's inside, beside, behind and all around me*

This is normally the worst part of the year.  The anticipation of opening day and also the upcoming fantasy baseball drafts.  Very anxious.

Take care of yourself.

Evenin' George...
A rather wet one down here in Katy today.  Blech!  Hubby was home today as he ALWAYS gets sick after being on an airplane which he was last week.  He's so icky when he's sick (sneezing out into the air, blowin' the ol schnaz at the table, etc.)  Just makes me sick.  Hard for me to teach my girls manners when their own dad has ZERO when it comes to basic manners!  YUCK!  Heather actually read him the riot act and threatened to spray him with Lysol if he didn't go wash his hands after blowing his nose!  I told him he was just being VERY inconsiderate to the rest of us and by doing so, is just asking for one of the rest of us to come down with something while on spring break next week - at the beach in Florida!  Yeah, THAT will be loads of fun if I have sick kids on vacation.  Oh, well, by then he'll be good as new.    A couple ladies at his office emailed me today and said, "sorry he's home with you but THANK YOU for not letting him come in".  I told them both I didn't think it was right for him to share all his germies at work and at the time he went to bed, he had planned on going but apparently woke up feeling even worse so opted to stay home.  He did go see his doc today so he's now on meds.  He was taking some stuff already but now hopefully the meds will kick in and drain all that congestion that is making his head feel like it is huge.  Sooo, had to deal with THAT all day.  YUCK!

I think the pooch figured out there was something up with "daddy" being home so just jumped in my lap and curled up into a tight ball for a couple naps today.  Rainy days are definitely good days to take a nap!

Hope you have a decent night at work!

Hey Sis...

Rainy here part of the day.  When it rains Pride (greyhound) goes in the bathroom and won't come out.  You have to just about drag him out when it stops raining to show him that it is okay.  Sorry for what you are going through.  Make sure you keep your distance.  LOL.

Yep, Schnitzel ALWAYS wants to go out but when it is raining, he high-tails it right back in.  We haven't had any really bad thunder/lightening yet with him so don't know how he will react to that yet.  Right now all I know is he freaks out when he hears a motorcycle and totally flips out and goes allll helter-skelter on me when I get the vacuum out!  OMG, he just charges it and wants to attack it but it still scares him so he never gets too close.  Oddly though, when it is off, he's fine.  I try EVERY time to show him the vacuum before hand and tell him, "see, it won't hurt you" while my hand is on it.  He'll come right up and sniff it but you can tell he's gun-shy.  No one has ever chased him with it (like anyone else would actually run the vacuum in my house...) so it just has to be the noise it makes.

Just finished a nasty project with Heather.  UGH.  I feel bad she was up until nearly 1:30 but the teacher gave it with ONE day to do it.  It was a time line of civil rights.  Heather's handwriting is horrible.  She knows it and so does the teacher so she has to type everything out, then cut and paste it to the presentation paper.  All that just takes boat-loads of time.  UGH.  Then she tells me that she has another project in this same history class that thankfully is not due until the 31st, but they have to find some significant thing from the 60's or 70's - like how Big Bird was brought out in one of those decades, or the Muppets themselves which of course Jim Henson was the iconic puppeteer who most present day puppeteers try to model themselves after.  With the Muppets came the popularity of Elmo and all that.  Whatever they pick they have to dress from head to toe for maximum points.  It could be clothing from that era, music, fads, people, etc.  Trying to figure out something because I'm thinking of the "you have to dress like that" thing and having her dress like someone like Kermit the Frog may not be too easy!  I HATE SCHOOL PROJECTS (AKA PARENT PROJECTS)!!!

We're supposed to be getting y'alls rain starting tomorrow and last for 7 or 8 days.  YUCK!! But I'll take rain, if it's not COLD which it's not supposed to be. YAY!!  I just can't deal with the cold any more, I know that's it's because of the surgery (the cold that I always feel, I mean). Still not much opening up on the job front, which is depressing.  I'm just thankful that I have wonderful family and friends that are willing to do whatever they can to assist.

In case I don't say it often enough... Thanks George for doing this post every night!  I don't always post, but I always read!

Hugs, Mari

Thank you for reading.

They had said if our temperature had gotten much above 62 degrees today, we were going to be in tornado warning.  Thankfully, we didn't have that problem.  I think it got to 59 or 60.

Hi George;

Sorry I've been underground again. I've had a really bad week since I returned from my grandmother's funeral. Work has been kicking my butt to the point I'm researching other options.
I'm embarrassed to admit that I cried more today than I did at the funeral. And that's not what it's supposed to be about.

Prayers for all who need them.
Blessings, Jennifer
