I am going to hit my one year mark soon and I am a bit nervous. I am only 94lbs out so far, compared to some people that is not so great. But I am happy. I am also nervous because I am still not able to get enough calories in and I am scared to be stuck at this weight too long. I struggle to eat more and more. My nut wants me to have 800-1000 calories and I am getting around 500, if that. I never want to eat, unless I am pmsing and then I can eat quite a bit, but still only in small amounts. I really don't want to be stuck at this weight (just a tad more than my goal weight) and not be able to lose anymore past my year. I already slowed down and have not lost in over 6 weeks. Any suggestions? My nut said to keep trying to eat more, but I am really trying.

You definately need to eat more in order to lose more.  With so few calories, you are in starvation mode and your body is holding on to every ounce.  if nothing else at least try to get in an extra protein drink or two a day.

You have nothing to be nervous about!  I lost my last 18 pounds after my one year anniversary - took me 5 more months but I finally got to goal so don't think you will quit losing because you have passed the one-year mark.

But I agree you need to eat more!  At least try to get another protein shake in - you will feel better.

Do you make your own protein drinks?? If not the calorie range is pretty big. Try drinking a higher calorie one or if you make your own maybe do a choclate and put some peanut butter in it. I found powdered pb and it works great in shakes! Same is true for the protein bars, look for the sm Oh Yeah bars that have nuts (not the wafer ones) or Supreme Protein bars in the sm size.

Thanks Meggie! I will try those. I have not tried the Oh Yeah bars. I tried the shakes. I don't make my own drinks because they are easier for me to handle when I buy them premade because they are a creamier consistancy.

I am with you! I buy the ready to drink (RTD) ones too! I just like the ease of them. No mess, throw them in my purse or linch box and go. I drink the world wide pure protein at 35gms protein and 180 calories (o sugar) or the Oh yeah that have higher calories and about the same protein. You can get them at the vitamin shop! They sell individual ones the fridge case so you can try one before you buy a whole case. Better to spend 2-3 dollars and not like it than a whole case!! Keep posting we will all help all we can.

The way I make my shakes I would have 550 calories just in the shakes and maybe half the protein bar LOL.

If you are using water for your shakes, try a high-protein milk like Mootopia to boost your protein and calories.  It is lactose-free in case lactose bothers you.

You could also use regular mayo in your chicken and the extra fat will help with any dry skin or hair issues you may have.  I know my skin and hair has been drier since my RNY.
