Surgeon in Texas

 I hear that Texas is a great place to have VSG done that there are alot of experienced surgeons and are competitively priced for self pay patients. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

 What part of Texas do you live in??   That would be a good thing to know.  If you live in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area....my surgeon is one of the best.   His name is David D. Kim.   He is great and has wonderful support groups for all his patients who want to attend.   We also have a monthly breakfast.

I don't know how my surgeon is for VSG, but for RNY, Dr. Garth Davis in Houston is the best.  Houston has good hospitals for wls.  Methodist in the medical center and Memorial Herman on the North loop are really good with good education and support programs.

You're right.  There are many good surgeons here, and most are partial to their surgeon.  I recommend Dr. Vadim Sherman in Houston.  He is the Director of Baylor College of Medicines Bariatric Program.  He has advanced degrees in Endoscopic Virtual Surgery. He presents worldwide, and Baylor is one of the top ten research medical schools in the nation.  Their program is excellent, and I knew I was in good hands should complications arise.  But as I said, there are many qualified surgeons here.

In the Dallas area, I used Dr. Harry Meyers and couldn't be more pleased with my VSG results.  He has a cash pay "package" that includes his services as well as the hospital fees.

In Dallas/Ft. Worth and surrounding, I would suggest Dr. Wade Barker.  He is an excellent surgeon, skilled at both RNY, Band and VSG.  Can't say enough about how great he is as a surgeon or how good his office is to work with.
