2.  Occupation  Consultant - Insurance Policy, Billing & Claims Administration Systems for on of the Big Four consulting firms

3.  Pre-op, post-op or considering weight loss surgery?  Post op - just shy of 20 months post op VSG

4.  What are your personal goals regarding WLS?  To get my health in check before it got any further out of control

5. What do you struggle with regarding weight loss?  Finding the "will" to eat.  It's a job now, not a pleasure.  My big struggle now is that my spouse wants me to gain weight back.  He's not happy with where I am and thinks I need to put some meat back on my bones although I'm barely in the "normal" BMI range.

6.  What threads do you like on the TMB?  The Weight Loss Express, The Nigh****chman, Monday Morning Weigh In

7. What would you like to see on the TMB that's not here?  I see more here than I really care to see sometimes regarding personal issues and struggles over and over and over again.  I'd like to see more positive, uplifting posts - SUCCESS stories rather than the "woe is me".  Most of all I need to get myself back here posting regularly offering support to those who need it and will accept the advise they've asked for.

8.  Do you need an Angel, buddy, support group location, doctor recommendation, workout partner or friend to help you?  They're all on speed dial!

9.  Do you attend support group meetings?   Not as often as I'd like, but finding time while traveling 4 days a week and trying to keep home life in some form of normalcy makes it difficult.

10.  What else would you like to share about yourself?  I'm married.  No kids, unless you count the spousal unit (King as he is known to others).  I'm usually on the road working 4 days a week, but that's the way we like it.  Right at this minute I couldn't be happier with myself for losing 150 lbs when my surgeon estimated I'd lose no more than 100 lbs.   Like Rachel said above, my life doesn't revolve around WLS surgery anymore - but it does involve A LOT of friends I've made here.  For that, I will forever be grateful.

I so agree with the will to eat.  I eat often right now, little bits.  Because I know I should be eating.  It is so much easier for me during the week while I work.  On the weekends, I am so much on the run, that I often simply forget to eat.

9.  Do you attend support group meetings?  no

10.  What else would you like to share about yourself?  WLS was the best decision I ever made for myself; I thank God I had the opportunity to have the surgery.  It has given me my life back.

1.  name: Jennifer or Cruise Director Julie to those who know how I love to herd people around and ensure they're having fun.

2.  Occupation: Director of Business Development at an online marketing firm.

3.  Pre-op, post-op or considering weight loss surgery? 4.5 years post-op. Time flies when you're having fun!

4.  What are your personal goals regarding WLS? When I had surgery, it was to quit smoking without ending up over 300 lbs. (253 was my highest known weight) and live past 46 years old (most of the people in my family I take after genetically died at that age). I've quit and unquit smoking a bunch of times in the last 4.5 years. Right now, I'm smoking again, but not a lot - this morning, I opened the last pack from the carton I bought in December - but still, any is more than I should be. That seems it will always be an ongoing battle. I'll let you know in 9.5 years if I broke the curse and made it to 47 years old.

5. What do you struggle with regarding weight loss? Going home to visit. When I go home to Michigan, I want to eat at all of my favorite childhood restaurants and that always gets me in trouble. I spent 3 hours this past Sunday talking to Ralph on the big white phone. Good thing I've got lots of rollover minutes. ;)

6.  What threads do you like on the TMB? Sadly, I don't participate much anymore, but my "old time" faves are the QOTD and the Nigh****ch.

7. What would you like to see on the TMB that's not here? Some of the old faces.

8.  Do you need an Angel, buddy, support group location, doctor recommendation, workout partner or friend to help you? No.

9.  Do you attend support group meetings? Not anymore. I did for my first year post-op.

10.  What else would you like to share about yourself? I miss the days when I could be completely open and honest here because it was a safe haven. For how much I love Facebook, I hate the Facebook Share button because now I have to be more protective about what I share and make available to the world. Could we all just "pinky swear" to not share anything off of here on Facebook? Then, I could open up my profile and include my photo again...

Blessings, Jennifer

I  pinky swear not to share the stuff here on Facebook.  I only use it so people can find me.  Truthfully, I think it is the cause of the decline of TMB.  People are spending a lot of time on there that they used to dedicate to the TMB.  I miss them.

Facebook didn't lead to my decline in posting. The drama llamas drove me away. Facebook gave me the ability to only interact with the folks from here that I wanted to and not have to see the drama llamas.

However, since WLS has never been my entire life and there is a great population of my real life social network that I don't even share my surgery with, I liked being able to keep my interactions here more private with people who knew the struggle. The "share" button allows anyone on Facebook to post a thread I posted to on Facebook and I don't know who there could be reading it. Therefore, my profile here is completely private and I've had to make it difficult for someone from FB to be able to connect the dots (i.e. no name, no photo, etc).

I understand what you are saying about the privacy thing.

But one good thing about Facebook.  I think it did take a lot of the "drama llamas" (I like that) away because it gave them a bigger audience.  LOL.
