Lynne call your insurance and see. Glad the visit went well and it gives you the extra push. Not having a surgeon available to me is hard.
On the Vitamin D, what was it and did he recommend or Rx something. I recommend the Dry Vitamin D3 that Vitalady sales. It improved my D fairly quickly (another lab run in April) and the pain I was having in my chins went away in about a week.
Did he run your PTH?
On the protein you might want to add 2-3 protein shakes a day. My TBIC was low last year which (thanks Sharyn) indicated I didn't have enough protein in my blood (I think I said that right).

Dana, I don't have the numbers here. They said they mailed me a copy but I don't have it yet. I've been slacking on taking my vitamins so I need to get that started again. I know they took about a gallon of my blood so I'm sure he ran every possible test there is!

Lynne, I think us oldtimers get complacent and oftentimes don't do what we KNOW we need to do. I've slacked on vitamins the further out I get too. I PACKED mine this week for the WHOLE week. No excuse when then sit on my desk at work in my FACE. Do that if necessary but please take your vitamins (said to myself too).

Lynne - I have zilch wisdom on this other than to say listen to Dana - she's one smart lady - and see if you can find a shake you can drink mixed with CL of somekind - I do the EAS vanilla with an edge (cafinated cl style drink) mixed berry most mornings - pretty easy - find cup, pour cold water in, open cl pack, add scoop of powder, put lid on shake and drin****ep the shaker cups with lids and the cl packs in the same cabinet and the protien is in the bottom of the same area so other than opening the fridge for cold water it is all in one spot - shrug - helps me since I do them first thing in the am - grab my vits from my little old lady box and then at least I start the day with a shake, caffine and 1/3 of my vits and meds
