The NIGH****CHMAN - 2/22
Good afternoon all. Gonna be a long day..Last night was bad enough. Two phone calls in 8 hours and I was tired. I would rather have more calls to keep me awake. But I better not complain, because I do enjoy the peace when I am not tired.
Slept 4 1/2 hours today. Could not get back to sleep after that. Grrr.
Mary says it is cold outside. Guess I will find out shortly.
Gotta go make my lunch.
Later.
Just so you know, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS AND SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.
If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested). Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Man, what a CRAZY few days it has been. Regardless of all that, bummed that my dad is in the hospital tonight. He can't keep anything down, not even water. He is so sick to his stomach that the added Zofran to his IV and even THAT didn't help! Apparently they had to use another anti-nausea one to get him a bit of relief. Tonight they are adding antibiotics to his IV meds. He's in a room with another guy who doesn't want the TV on. WTH?!? Sorry, the olympics are on, so he'll be watching when he's not snoozing. Bad enough to be there but then to be rooming in with some dude who wants it silent. Uh, NO! He at least as the side of the room with a window which is good! These are the times though when it stinks living so far. All the tests they did in the ER came back as "normal" so there was no crazy reason why he was tossing his cookies. Probably some version of the flu that he just let go on too far before going to the doctor. I don't know, but I'm bummed. I was very relieved that my sister is there though as my mom called her this morning to ask her if she could come get them. My mom is paranoid to drive plus when she gets nervous, trust me, you don't want her doing something important like DRIVING! My sister left work and came right out to the house, got them both and right into the ER as their doc instructed. There was a lot of waiting though, as usual, which just makes one nuts. Dad was getting very irritated having to wait to find out answers all the while tossing his cookies every so often. I know he hates being in there but sounds like he definitely NEEDS to be there. Sigh....
Ok, gotta run. Need to get the kids' stuff ready for tomorrow!
