National Cherry Pie Day- SAT WLS Express

damn woman! get some rest if you can!!!!

In honor of Cherry Pie Day I am making sf cherry dump cake!!

1 box reduced sugar yellow cake mix
1 can no sugar added cerry pie filling
1 stick butter, melted

Spray 9x13 pan with Pam. Dump in box cake mix reserving 1/2 cup for topping. Dump pie filling on top of cake mix. Sprinkle w/reserved cake mix. Dump on the melted butter.
Bake at 350 for 30-35 min!! Yummo!!

Hope you have better luck with that than I do!  I've dumped on it every single time I've made it, and it really bummed me out!

I know it was very very sad. I even tried three different times with three different fruits (small servings).  I think the combination of the fruit sugar with the sugar that is in the cake mix is just a bit too much.  Made Jeff happy though cause he got to finish the whole thing all three times.  LOL

did you use the reduced sugar cake mix? Some how the combo didn't bother me, and you know I dump if you blink at me!! LOL!

Yep, when I found those cake mixes I bought about 25 of them!  By itself the cake doesn't bother me, and by itself fruit doesn't bother me.  Just something weird about the combination.  Very sad, but I'm super glad you got to enjoy it!!
