Today, I celebrate 3 weeks on the loser bench. I'm a actually back to doing mostly all the physical things prior to surgery. I lost 21 lbs during the first week , I've not weighed since. I'll weigh next week at my Monthly checkup.

I've noticing how different foods effect me as if I'm about to dump...I've had soup, sugar free Popsicles even oatmeal at times, I will actually get light headed and feel nauseated. Has anyone else had these problems or maybe it's normal since I'm reintroducing food to my newly designed digestive system.

Very normal, if it is too baad, wait a couple of weeks then try the food again. Sometime your body just isn't ready for something new. Good luck - Gaye

Life is what you make of it! Enjoy when possible.

Dude,  I am almost 3 years out and I still can not eat any sugar. It is awesome.!!!! It is like a built in safety switch. I have dumped about 10 times total, and every time I ate something with hidden sugar. I have no urge to eat anything sweet, because DUMPING SUX!!  Also, even at this late juncture, I pretty much eat soups, corn bread, sugar free popsicles,  sugar free instant oatmeal, and natural peanut butter. Not a day has gone by that I have not taken my vitamins and protein. Follow the directions your doc gave you. There is only one way to succeed and that is follow the plan.

Every little hiccup that you may encounter like dumping, nausea, etc... is minor compared to the awesome new life you are embarking on. Dreams come true!!!!

Foods will effect you different, but just wait until you get farther out, the weight is vanishing, you are feeling better, younger, ALIVE!!!! Nothing can prepare you for the pure joy you are fixing to find. EVERYTHING will effect you different. Keep your eye on the prize, but take time to enjoy the trip because from here on out, everyday is a holiday!!!!!!!
