President's Day WLS Express

Y'all jump on board...I'm driving the train this morning!  It's my first time so I hope I don't jump the tracks!!!

I don't normally drive the train, but figured...I'm up and might as well get things rolling.

Had a productive weekend...only in the fact that I made progress on my quilt. We had a little snow overnight...again! Granted, it was NOTHING like what the DFW area (much less the east coast) got earlier in the week, but it is still white, wet and COLD!  Brrrrr! I'm sick of winter this year!!! Don't know if it's that much colder, or if it's because I'm more sensitive to it...either way, I'm ready for summer and want to be able to play outside!

Good Morning Mari and the rest of my TMB Family,

Ii too am up way to early.  It was aboug 3:45 when I got up.  I guess cause I knew Tim and Jon were supposed to be here.  Heard the phone ring around 2:00 and Mark went out to meet him at the gate but I never heard them come back in. Mark was asleep on the couch when I got up.  So that is my excuse for getting up early!  :)  Now they just need to get up so I can get me some grandma hugs.  They will be here till Wednesday night.  So we will have a couple of days to visit.  Then when they leave I will need to start packing for Florida as my plane leaves at 10:00 am on Saturday.  I cant wait to see my Mom and Dad, and all my cousins.  No big plans for today.  Will probably need to go to the grocery store at some point.  Was not expecting the kids.  I think I will make a lasagna for them for tonight and I will have a Salad.  Still dont eat any kind of pasta or rice!  Hope ya'll had a nice Valentines day.  Mark worked all day so he promised me dinner at Texas Roadhouse or Olive Garden sometime this week.   Need to decide where I want to go.  Ok guess that is all from this end of the world.  They are talking about snow for tonight,,,but very little.  Thank goodness.  Prayers this morning for all that are spoken and that are unspoken.  Have a blessed day. Michelle- I know I'm jumping on a day late, but after a year, I could tolerate whole wheat lasagna noodles. Have you tried those?

Good Morning Train!

WOOOOHOOO for President's Day!  It's a paid Holiday for me and I'm planning on doing absolutely nothing!  LOL  Well, the DQS does want me to get the oil changed in his truck, but that's the only thing on my to-do list today!

Prayers are going up for all that need them!

Unfortunately, I'm his payee for his SSI, so unless I want to give him cash and hope like hell he doesn't spend it on something else, I either have to go with him to pay or talk the hubby into doing it for me, which makes me feel quilty, lol.... oy vey!

Good morning.  Don't wreck this train Mari!  I hope you find a new job soon so you don't quilt the whole world.  You can come down here...I can find plenty of started projects for you to work on that need finishing!
Do you hand or machine quilt?

I am at home...need to change the sheets and wash a couple of loads of laundry today.  I am picking up my homebound student at 11:00 if she feels okay and getting her lunch and taking her to my office for 4 hours so we can use the high speed internet since I have the day off.  They have dial up at her house and it's a pain in the butt!  We are on the last internet course, so maybe we can make good progress and come close to getting it whipped out.  I need to get the back of Ben's quilt together if I can find a couple of hours.  I finished my tax return and Ben's FAFSA last night.  I get a big enough refund to pay my church bldg. fund pledge for this year, pay off A & M and still have some left for next fall's college bill, plus I owed Ben $500 for books for this semester so I had it sent directly to his checking acct.  Yeah!

Ben left a little while ago to head back to Aggieland.  I'll see him next Sunday since I'm leaving Thursday to go to Wimberly to see my dad and won't be home until Sunday.

Hi, y'all.  After 4 days, our electricity finally came back on late yesterday afternoon.  It is so nice to be warm!!  However, the house is a WRECK.  Bathroom tilers were scheduled to come in today, but I called to cancel.  But, I didn't get a confirmation call that they got the message, so I'm waiting up in case they show (I haven't been to sleep yet - as usual).  At least that part of the house will be ready for them.
