Good afternoon/evening all.

Presidents Day.  Some of you are off.  Lucky you.

Looks nice outside.  But a little cool.

If you have any  updates on your prayer situation, please provide them.  Thanks.

Just so you know, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS  AND SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Computers...they are a love/hate thing aren't they???  Sunday night I was checking my email when the screen went screwy and bam, that was it.  Took it in to my guy today and sure enough, the hard drive definitely died.  DAMN!  The only positive thing in this was that a few months ago I had a scare where I thought my hard drive had crashed when it luckily was only a power source issue that masked itself as a hard drive problem so I figured that was a tell-tale sign to get an external back-up system, which I did.  OMG, the absolute BEST $150 spent because I backed up all my files and know all my pictures, documents, etc. are on there and saved!  Not sure when the last time it ran so it might be a couple weeks from being current but losing just a few things isn't as bad as ALL the files.  Now just have to figure out how to get them back onto my new hard drive.  Of course I lost all the programs I had so EVERYTHING has to be reloaded which is a P.I.T.A.  -  mostly just time consuming.

Had to help Heather get a project done that OF COURSE she waited until the night before it is due at freakin' 11 pm to show me.  GRRRR!!!!  Oh well, SHE will be the tired one tomorrow.  She and V have a tennis match after school so she might not be 100% on her toes but hey, live and learn.  Hoping the wind is MUCH lighter for the match.  Wind is so crappy for a tennis match!

Ok, I guess I'd better scoot.  I have thankfully been using my laptop to get a few things done so hopefully tomorrow I can get more things reloaded and back to working on my computer.

Hope everyone makes it a great day and remember...TAKE THOSE VITAMINS!!!

I just posted on the train about my weekend spent getting the DH's computer back up and running.... luckily his hard drive didn't crash so we were actually able to recover his files... I just hate fiddling with them so much.... My DD and I played swap out the hard drives with 3 computers till we finally found something that worked.... but we enjoy messing with stuff ourselves... sometimes it's a curse and sometimes it's a blessing.... cause I really didn't want to pay someone to fix it or buy a new one for him to break...

Hugs!

Well I tell you what, I was SO happy that I invested in an automatic back-up system.  I have it plugged into the USB ports and it just automatically backs up however often I have it set to do so.  Now, I'm not sure the last time it ran simply because the kids had disconnected one of the USB ports to use it for something they had to do and I just don't remember if when it backs up, it tells me it did it or not.  Regardless, I know I manually ran it some time in January so it has been backed up within the past month.  Now, one of the problems I have is not having enough USB ports because of course EVERYTHING seems to run on USB connections these days, so my computer guy ordered me eight new ports that he will get installed when they get here in a couple days.  By having those eight extra ports, I will go ahead and have two of those used for my back-up system so won't ever have to worry that the girls have disconnected it.  All the extra ports will be in the back so the girls won't even see them.  That will free up the two in the front so they can use them whenever they need to pop something on or off in a hurry.  Like I say, that was the best $150 investment!  I backed up all my computers on it, too, as it puts each computer's data in a separate file.  LOVE it!!!  Now....just have to figure out how to transfer it back over.  I'm sure it's easy but until I actually DO it, kinda have that "fear of the unknown"!!!  By having my stuff backed up, I didn't have to pay my computer guy to try to retrieve it either!  Aaah, the joys of technology!!!
