Thanks I needed ot hear that from you :) I look up to you so much - didn't mean to scare you - just was amazed at the numbers - I don't see how you guys live on 1000 a day - but you look awsome and feel good and have the strenght to do what you want to so YOU rock

I was telling Deb I think I diet and cal count as a hobbie - when in my crazy life I have an extra 5 mins a day I feel the need to fill it and that is a quick hobbie to pick back up - need a new one - I would garden if it would stop freakign freezing here

I just got an IPOD touch and am hunting good music to put on it to listen to while I work out - spend my free time yesterday doing that and loading yoga podcasts LOL

Dr. Davis' office actually offers a test called a MedGem study that is done to figure out based on each individual's activity, how many calories has to be consumed if you want to maintain, lose, gain, etc.  I did it about 2 1/2 years post-op and at the time, it said I needed to be eating around 1300 calories.  I'm usually probably 1000-1300 a day....  I probably need to get an updated one here soon!

I don't pay attention to calorie calculators. I think our individual bodies vary way to much for them to be accurate. I'm a male, relatively active, and had the DS....I know from my own personal experience I can lose weight eating 4000 calories a day, and maintain eating 6000 calories a day, it just depends where the calories come from.

My thought is you should play with your diet and see what you need to lose weight.

thanks Scott - my problem is I maintian very easily and have for several years now - then I see people losing and my brian goes - gee we can do that, I mean we still have this extra 30-40 pounds here we could try to get rid of before plastics in 2 yrs - and I start in on cal counting agian - yes I do have some extra weight I am still over 200 - 210 most of the time HOWEVER I was 425 4 years ago and I, in my basically disfunctional way, manage to forget those 215 pounds I have already lost.

So thanks to some realitiy checks from friends - thank God I have honest friends  - I am back to my regular eating habits and the gym - that is how I feel best and I am sooo in the best shape of my life other than 2 1/2 yrs ago when I was obsesivly trianing so weight room, cardio room, bike paths and walking here I come agian  - I love muscles on myself, love being strong and fit!!
