Good morning.  I have another day in the office.  I have about 30 folders to process, so I need it.  I have to run out TAKS testing lists and my homebound student's work to the HS sometime this morning.

I'm done with homebound so have to come home and do laundry and pack for my conference tomorrow when I get off today.

My whohoo is it's only 8 more days and I leave to visit my dad and some other special people in my life...looking forward to my little short get away!

Prayers for all who need them.  Whohoo Eric on finishing these chemo rounds.  Alissa...hope your bone infection goes away.  Meggie...keep getting better as well as Stephanie healing from surgery and our dear Charlene!

Have a great Wednesday.

Karla

I'm sorry, not a good morning and I can't think of a WooHoo to be had.

Monther-in-law still in hosp, still not eating/drinking. gave her transfusion yesterday because....well, she has nothing...no blood, no platelets, no cells.  Duh!  Doctor still CONSIDERING a feeding tube, but won't force the issue becuase she doesn't want it. She hasn't put anything in her mouth since last Friday, she is not alert due to her blood counts...WHY are we letting her make this call??? BTW, she's had 2 TIAs in less than a week, she was overdosed on heparin, she's 74, hasn't so much as taken a step in over 6 weeks, her limbs are like sticks...it's just not a pretty picture and i can't get my husband to stand up to the doctors. argh

I have lots of other whiney crying venting to do, but I wrote and deleted. reading it brought me down.

I need sleep and coffee, but I don't have time for sleep till bedtime, Its gonna be a long day.

T-does anyone have "Medical Power of Attorney" over  her? If not, that's most likely why SHE is still calling the shots. No one-doc- or otherwise can MAKE her have a feeding tube-or anything else....sad, but true. This must be incredibly hard on all of you. You have my digits-don't hesitate to use them.

Good morning train riders...I'm here still in my jammies waiting on the DirectTV dude to show up.  Verizon jacked up my rates after our contract expired and wouldn't give me a better deal so I am switching back to DirectTV today.  Unfortunately I have to stick with Verizon internet cuz there is no other choice where I live since I don't have a home phone.

I have found the coolest facebook page called "Growing up in Philmont NY" which was my home town of 1500 people.  I have spent so much time on it the past few days, reconnecting with old friends and finding out who's done what and who'd died, etc.  Funny thing is all the MEN are the ones wanting to "reconnect" and complimenting me on how great I look etc.  It's pretty funny to see my old boyfriends now and let me tell you-they look OLD!!

Anyway, better go get out of these jammies my sattelite installer might not think I'm so cute!!

Have you checked AT&T? I didn't have a home phone either and they charged me like $40 a month for their servce.

AT&T isn't available in my neighborhood.  We really wanted the U-verse bundle but NOOO, because Verizon is out here, AT&T is not.  It's a friggin monopoly.  Verizon is gonna charge me $55/mo just for internet.

Good morning Train Riders!  My woohoo today is a brag on my husband.  As you all know, he has Asperger's and deals with anxiety attacks when he's faced with difficult situations.  This has caused problems in school for him over the past year.  Last night he sent me an email from class explaining "major trouble" in one of his digital forensics classes.  They are reading The Art of War and have to do a report on every chapter.  Unfortunately they are discussing the book metaphorically, which if you know about Asperger's, is a nearly impossible task.  However, instead of going into a full blown panic attack, Jeff calmed himself down, made it through class and spent some time talking to the teacher after wards.  He's got a better understanding of what the teacher wants and the teacher won't be calling on him to participate in discussions in class, so Jeff feels like he can handle it.  I'm so proud of him for dealing with this is a much more productive way than in the past year.

Ok, so today I think we are going to put down a holding fee on a new apartment!  I'm excited about it, and if it's as good on the inside as it looks on the outside, we've found our new home.  They offer AT&T uverse at the complex, which is the same internet package we have now so that is one concern off the table.  It's a two bed/two bath, 1135 sq ft apartment on the ground floor, which will be perfect for Nigel and his arthritic legs.  It's below our max budget and only 5 miles from Jeff's office!  So we'll be saving a bunch on gas and wear and tear on his car.  It's also in Dallas County so we'll be able to get in district rates at his school now.

The only down side is that it's in Irving, much farther away from the Collin Cty group, so once I move I'm going to have to stop doing the Wed night meetings.  Annette and I have talked about possible alternatives and I'm going to send an email out to the group about it once we've decided for sure that we are moving there.

I suppose I should actually do some work now and earn my keep.  I hope everyone has a fantastic day, and stay warm!!

Good Morning Everybody,

Hope all are doing well.  Today is going to be a busy day at work so I am posting before I read.  We have customers and management in for joint development projects.

Thanks everybody for the prayers for my special fella.  His name is Dustin Murphy.  He is 25 years old and has called me mom now for 17 of those 25 years.  His smile is amazing.  I remember one night I came in from a work trip my dau went with me this time.  One of my lovely cats had brought half of a mouse and left it by my bed.  After screaming I called Dusty and he  came and took care of it for me.  He was always like that. He lived next door.  My daughter calls him her big brother.

Your prayers got him through it last time and will again.

Had a crazy "drive everywhere" day yesterday as DD#2 was in a Katy tennis tourny so went back and forth to the courts.  OMG, she played PHENOMINAL with her partner - they both just bring out the absolute best in each other.  When one gets down, the other pumps her back up.  Isn't that the way life SHOULD be?!?  The best part, they have FUN at playing.  Both are great, but we had to play some powerhouse schools.  Katy HS is known for their football team, definitely not their tennis team.  Three other schools in our district are actually STATE ranked so hard to beat those guys.  So they played three teams to get to the championship game and ended up winning the whole thing for their bracket!  I was SOOO happy for her!  What was even more remarkable, my poor daughter gets migraines as I do and just the day before, she had one that knocked her down hard.  She came home from school the day before and literally collapsed for like 14 hours.  It was crazy how the migraine was so strong she actually ended up with a fever and then boom, as fast as it came it was gone, then she had the awesome day.  I don't think at nearly 300 pounds would I have wanted to run around and go back and forth to watch her.  Heck, I bundled up and sat in the observation bleachers, too!

Trying to stay warm but man is it tough!!!  Need to wake up so gotta get my SBUX tea down the hatch.  Hope everyone has a great day!
