The NIGH****CHMAN - Tuesday 2/9

A little late, I know.  The computer at my part time job is acting up.  And when I came into work here I had to go to a two hour class on ethics.

Asking for prayer for a guy that works for me at the part time job.  He has been there a little bit longer than me.  I have been there 17 years.  His name is Bob.  He is 61 years old.  He has MS.  Recently he had some lumps on his throat.  Soon diagnosed as Lymphoma.  Now confirmed diagnosis of Mantle Cell Lymphoma.  A rare case of non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.  Only 15,000 people suffer from this in the U.S.  The survival rate, according to Wikipedia, is 3 to 6 years.  It can be treated, but according to what I read, you can appear to be "cured" when all of a sudden it can flare up and that will be it.

Pray for Jenn R. and Eric.  Please.

Just so you know, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS  & SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

Hey there my northern big bro...
Well it was a FAAAABULOUS day on the tennis courts, regardless that the weather absolutely SUCKED on the tennis court!  Viktoria and her partner beat the first set of girls who were both from one of the powerhouse-known tennis high schools here in town.  They then played the next set of girls and won in a tie breaker so that one was much closer.  They had a small break, then played a pair of girls who were from a school that is similar to their school, skill level wise, and our girls CRUSHED them!  It was awesome.  So, with three matches down, that left one more for the championship match.  The girls were from Cinco Ranch H.S. which is another big powerhouse school.  Paul and I were at the scorer's table looking at the progressive bracket as to which school beat who and moved on.  The two girls from Cinco came up to the table to see who they were going to be playing.  Now these two girls had NO idea who we were, and one said, "OMG, we are playing Katy."  The other girl said, "oh crap, does that mean we have to play Viktoria"?!?  as they walked onto the court.  We laughed.  Viktoria knew the girls as they played together at the club where the girls took lessons.  So, they played those girls and ended up winning their bracket and got medals!  The part that is so phenominal is if all those girls she played knew how horrible she felt yesterday.  She had a migraine from HELL which even caused her to spike a fever for a few hours.  I didn't even know if she would be able to play but woke up 100% better with no fever so was fine.  When Paul asked her how she was, she said, "I'm fine, but even if I weren't, I would have played because I wouldn't want to let my partner down"!  SWEET!!!  Their win was the only win their school got, too!

Ok, guess I need to get to bed!  Hope everyone has a great upcoming day!
