I am trying, and it is working.  So far, so good.  Two pounds a week for the last two weeks.  I am feeling better about myself.  Behaved at the Super Bow party even.  There were chips and candy all over the place and I had about 3 potato chips.  No Doritos, no corn chips of any kind.  I can do this.  I will do it.

Good for you, George!  Super Bowl parties can be the death of us...I certainly hope that this is the end of the party things for a while!  I stuck with queso and chili yesterday and considered myself lucky that I had choices for food. Hang in there -- you CAN do this!!!!! and ARE!!!

Hugs, Mari

This week has been a slow going week for me.  I couldn't exercise like I wanted since I had to have the stress test done and waiting on my results.  I wish my body would straighten up and act right.  I am tired of doctors and hospitals.  I thought after I had the surgery, I would see less of the drs and hospitals but that hasn't been the case.
Anyway, I did have a slight drop in weight, but nothing to cheer about.

Take care all.

Said it before, will say it again...you are about 7 months out from surgery and you can expect your weight loss to slow down.  It's normal! You didn't gain, so cheer about that...gotta keep it positive.  I know that you are tired of the docs.  I see others here talk about the problems that haven't seemed to have gone away post-operatively. But let's face it, we all have/had serious medical problems that won't go away with surgery.  It's not a cure-all for every and all conditions. Unfortunately you had some fairly serious medical problems that just aren't going to go away, no matter what you do.  But aren't you healthier than you were BEFORE surgery? I know I am.  I have issues that just aren't going to go away, they are genetic and I'm stuck with them any way you look at it.  It's easier for me to stay on top of them and make sure that they aren't going to jeapordize my future health as much as I can.  It's so much easier to do that now.

I hope that you don't feel like I am blasting you...I'm not, far from it! I celebrate in what I have seen you and so many others (including myself) accomplish.
I just don't want to see you beat yourself up and get depressed because you don't think you are succeeding.  I also know that you are tired of doctors and hospitals, but you've got to stay on top of the issues that don't go away with WLS.  You have lost 90lbs!!!!!  OMG!! Every day is an accomplishment and one more day (out of many to come) here to spend with our loved ones.

I love seeing what you are becoming...a beautiful, thinner and healthier person!

I know I have so much to be thankful for and need to quit complaining about not losing as much as I think I should.  I do feel better than I have in years and I am getting skinnier all the time...
My used to be tight size 12's are getting looser everyday.  I can almost get into a 10 now.  I am trying to lose as much as possible before April for our vacation.  I want to look my best when we go to the Bahamas.  I tried on my swim suit from last year, OMG, it falls off of me.  There is so much room in that thing... it is so funny.... I thought... I will just take this one up and make it smaller... NO WAY... I would have to totally disassemble the thing and put it back together... Easier to go buy another one... It makes me feel good...
Trisha is down almost 2 sizes since you last saw her.  She is working hard to get the weight off naturally.  She is counting calories, fat grams, and carbs...She eats what I eat and in small portion sizes.  We go to the gym every night and work out.  Of course I can't work out as hard right now, but I am working out.
I guess I do have a lot to be thankful for and need to quit second guessing myself... Thanks for making me see the big picture... You always know what to say and when to say it... YOU ROCK!!!

Hugs,
DeborahL.

I was down to 145.0 at some point last week, but bounced up again this morning.  Now that football season is officially over I am going to quit using it as my excuse and get my butt back to the gym on the weekends!  And a couple of times during the week, too.

We were cheering hard for the Saints and when they picked Manning off for a pick-6 we knew that was the game.  It's been a long time coming for that team - whoop!
