Shrimp and bacon

made this last night for dinner  - addapted it from a very similar recipe from Dawn Hall's diabetic cook book

in med pot mix  - get all lumps of cornstarch desolved while cold than add butter and bacon

2 cups milk
2T corn starch
1t butter
3 strips cooked turkey bacon - chopped up small

stir together over low heat till thick, then add

2 cups sliced mushrooms

cook 3-5 mins

add 2 cups/1 pounds salad shrimp - thaw under running water first (origianl called for big shrimp but these were easyer and already detailed)

cook stiring till warm though then add
1/3 cup shreded parmassen cheese

enjoy!!! - we had it with whole wheat bread, book suggested pasta or rice

takes about 15-20 mins including thawing the shrimp and serving it
